This stuff works!
This has worked great for stain removal for me! We had a ball point pen in the wash situation and I was able to get all of the ink out of a shirt. Then I decided to try it on an old stain on a white sports jersey- it had been through the washer and dryer multiple times, and nothing else had worked, not bleach pen, not oxyclean. Got it looking as good as new! The trick is to keep applying and scrubbing. The stain needs to be 100% lifted before you put it in the wash- if you see remnants before you put it in the wash, they will still be there when it comes out. In both cases, I found that my fingernail scratching at it worked better than a scrub brush. For the ink I needed to keep blotting and lifting the ink off. Lots of patience and perseverance will get that stain up!

Left it on overnight - it worked!
I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to pass on my experience. I had a cotton table runner that had a few large ink spots from a "bleeding" pink Bic fine point pen. Spots were bright pink and had saturated though the thick runner. I was so sure it was a lost cause that I bought a duplicate of my favorite runner. I applied Amodex as directed with paper towel underneath several times and rubbed gently with a toothbrush. The stain barely faded and expanded to a light pink about 3" square; I thought the piece was ruined. I repeated this several times, gave up and left it overnight with the original spot barely changed. The next day, it looked slightly better, so I washed with warm water and the soap that I had on hand (Dawn Dish soap). Within minutes, the stain was faded and after a few times washing with the soap and water it was completely GONE. Dawn is pretty good on grease based stains so I suspect any soap would have done this. The Amodex really worked. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo!!

Wow! A must have in the house!
I really wish I had taken a before picture before using this! I read a bunch of the reviews before buying/using this, so I knew not to try and treat the area I wanted cleaned. I carry a sharpie on a retractable clip around at work. I somehow managed to put the sharpie back in the cap upside down 3x in one day! I had black sharpie lines all over my jeans! They are a multi color tie dye look, so I was hesitant to use this product for fear that it would remove the tie dye colors. I still don't know if the tie dye on the jeans is actual tie dye or what, but wow! The lines are all gone minus 3 small black dots that I'm still working on. They are barely noticeable compared to the lines so I'm beyond thrilled! After shaking the bottle, the Amodex liquid isn't too thin, so I didn't waste too much product. I used an old toothbrush to scrub vigorously. I probably treated each of the lines twice with the Amodex, and kept scrubbing. The ink was disappearing and the tie dye wasn't! Again, since I don't know how the jeans were actually colored to make the tie dye look, I don't recommend trying this without testing a small area first on home made tie dye! After it looked like all the sharpie lines were gone, it wasn't completely clear if some of the black from the tie dye had bled because of the way the wet areas made the jeans look. I was starting to think I should have just left the lines because it looked better than what I was looking at. I took the jeans and rinsed all the treated areas under water, hanging them to dry overnight. Before they even dried though, I could see the black from the tie dye hadn't bled. My jeans were saved! I don't know why the remaining 3 black dots (very tiny) don't seem to want to come off vs all the lines that were drawn, but they're really not very noticeable, so I'm only trying 1 last time to remove them. All the scrubbing is harsh on the material. I gave the Amodex 4 stars because of those last 3 dots, and it's kind of expensive considering the size of the bottle. There's no offensive smell (unless you put the stuff right by your nose and take a big whiff lol). Maybe there are other products out there that work as well, but it's not worth checking them out to me since this worked fast and was easy to use. The instructions tell how to use the product based on the material you're trying to clean which is nice and there's also a phone number you can call for help/questions.

It worked after the dry cleaner failed
This product has a pleasant scent and feels good on the hands. I used it on a stain professional cleaners had failed to remove; the stain rinsed out easily after 1 application of Amodex.

Best Ink Stain remover ever!
Amazing product! This pulled a nasty dark ink stain from my white leather chair. I followed the directions, but was thinking the closest I could get to a complete and totally perfect result was a faint, light shadowy stain. I wiped the area with a wet cloth and called it quits. Overnight the remainder of the ink stain totally disappeared. No one would ever know there was even a drop of ink on that chair. This stuff really works! I highly recommend it.

I tried this product to remove ink stain , all it did was to smudge the ink further and make it more ugly Completely ineffective

I’m so happy I ordered this product. I’m a Poshmark seller and when packaging an order of a vintage dress that sold I noticed an ink stain. It took 5 rounds of using this gel but the stain from how ever long ago lifted. Absolutely no discolouration in the garment either. This gel was a total life saver!!!

Was starting to lose hope after using everything recommended (including hairspray and high alcohol hand sanitizer), to remove the ballpoint pen ink stain but this product has worked wonders! Needs perseverance and patience, but after approx 4 applications for a few hours at a time, this product has near enough removed the stain off my cream faux leather dining table chair. Will be doing a few more applications to make sure the stain is fully gone. Would highly recommend.
