An orchestral powerhouse
Quite easily one of the most beautiful and powerful soundtracks ever composed for a video game. The style is distinct from Otani's work for Ico, and understandable, given the huge difference in gameplay, environments, and creatures featured in each game. The tracks "Prologue, "Counterattack", "A Despair-Filled Farewell", "Swift Horse", and "Epilogue" are rather exemplary. If you love orchestral and grandiose scores in films and games, you owe it to yourself to buy this soundtrack!

Great soundtrack!
I've always wanted this and it wasn't easy to find. A bit pricey, but that's alright for an import. If you love the game you'll love this. A great collector's item. I'll be sampling some of the sounds for personal use. This was a Christmas gift.

"Roar of The Earth" deserves a standing O!
If you are a fan of the PS2 video game "Shadow of the Colossus", then I strongly suggest it's official soundtrack to the game: "Roar of the Earth. I've been a fan of video game soundtracks for the last 15 years and I rate this one right up there with two of my other favorites: "Vagrant Story" for the PS1 and "Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" for the XBOX/PC. Roar of the Earth is and epic musical journey with emotional highs and lows marked by tension, desperation, and courage. The game's classic fairytale essence of a lone hero dauntlessly facing mortal danger and overcoming gigantic foes with feats of bravery shines through in the orchestra's thunderous performance of 'Roar's' 42 tracks. A video game soundtrack of this quality doesn't come around very often and should not be missed.

One of the best soundtracks EVER
For any video game and classical music love, this is an amazing soundtrack. Minus the slight crack in the cover, the record plays perfectly, and doesn't take away from the video game music itself. I love it so much! This was a wonderful buy!

Einer der schönsten Videospiele-Soundtracks ever!
"Wanda and the Colossus" ist eine Perle- das wird sowohl dem Spiel als auch dem dazugehörigen Soundtrack nachgesagt. Nun, ich für meinen Teil kenne das Spiel nicht- den Soundtrack allerdings schon. Und zumindest hier kann ich diese Aussage ohne Zweifel unterschreiben. Kow Otani, welcher u.a. Soundtracks für Animeserien und auch Filmen beisteuerte, schuf hier einen mehr als denkwürdigen Score. Die Musik ist mit einem Orchester eingespielt worden und hört sich dementsprechend mächtig an. Der Soundtrack, so bombig wie er oftmals ist, neigt oft zu leiseren, melancholischeren Klängen. Es gesellt sich noch ein Chor dazu, welcher aber mehr unscheinbar und nie aufdringlich hervorsticht, sondern eher die Melancholie des ganzen noch fein unterstreicht. Auch asiatische Klänge sind zu hören welche sich hervorragend in das Gesamtbild einfügen- Wie aus einer anderen Welt. Magisch, anmutig und doch voller Traurigkeit. Auf der CD sind 42 Tracks. Davon sind 7 Stücke Bonustracks welche im Spiel nicht vorkamen. Das Booklet ist eher zweckmäßig. Neben ein paar Bildern aus dem Spiel gibt es die Credits. Auch ein paar Sätze auf Japanisch stehen noch drin. Ob diese von Otani stammen oder von einem anderen Verantwortlichen kann ich daher nicht mit Gewissheit sagen (da aber ein Bild von Otani unter dem Text abgedruckt ist, liegt der Schluss nahe das dieser von ihm stammt). Fazit: Ein Meisterwerk, welches man sich unbedingt auch als Unkundige/r mal anhören sollte- zumindest wenn die Neigung zu orchestralen Soundtracks gegeben ist. Diese Musik lässt, wenn man sich auf eben diese einlässt, in eine andere Welt abtauchen. Volle Empfehlung!

Un soundtrack único
Para empezar el tiempo de entrega fue sorprendente rápido Me acuerdo cuando a los 5 años vi por primera vez a mi tío jugar este juego en PS 2, cuando empezó no hubo un gran discurso ni escenas deslumbrantes para llamar mi atención, solo se necesito una melodía mística pero relajante para cautivarme, 19 años después pude jugarlo pero esa espera valió totalmente la pena y este soundtrack me a acompañado desde mi ñiñes
