The immersive effect of this book is unforgettable. It takes you through Bill’s stories and all the artifacts that have borne witness to his existence throughout human history. Starting with Bill’s early years, moving to his extraterrestrial escapades, eerie urban legends, mysterious cults worshiping the great triangle, and ending with stories of the anti-Cipher society, Bill’s influence on animation and pop culture, and even his first computer capable of mass hypnosis. Each chapter is brilliantly illustrated, showcasing the author’s creativity. ★★★★☆ Text Art alone wouldn’t work without the corresponding text, and this book delivers. The quotes on the cover and the first few pages prepare you for the book’s ominous curse, making you question whether you’re truly ready to form a pact with Bill. I actually closed the book at first to reflect, chills running down my spine. However, as you read further, the feeling shifts to humor, riddles, and Gravity Falls lore. The book is packed with stories, fun facts, mysterious puzzles, and even dialogues with Bill, who often invites you for a chat. To top it off, a quarter of the book features missing pages from Journal 3 by Ford Pines, offering insights into his long-standing acquaintance with Bill. While the final journal section is enthralling, the middle part of the book dragged a little for me. The author starts on a peak of creativity, but sustaining it throughout is a challenging task. ★★★★★ Book Design The book’s design, layout, and format are superb. The carefully chosen fonts complement the art and theme, making the text easy to read. The jacket is pleasant to the touch, though it might wear out over time. The layouts are immersive, giving the impression of stepping into a museum of madness—an experience you’ve agreed to by opening the book. The missing Journal 3 pages are also exceptionally designed, making them feel like authentic pieces of a long-lost mystery. ★★★★★ Price and Availability This book is currently easy to find and worth every penny. As of autumn 2024, I managed to get a very good pre-owned copy for under $19, and by December 2024, prices for some copies had dropped to as low as $12. ★★★★★ Overall Impressions The Book of Bill has earned its place as the third Gravity Falls book to become a New York Times bestseller, achieving the title within a month of release—and that speaks volumes! I was unbelievably lucky to snag the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition featuring a yellow Bill (instead of the red one) on the cover for the price of the standard version. This edition includes 16 extra pages of content, making it a must-have for fans. If you’re a Gravity Falls fan, the B&N edition is worth the hunt. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and can confidently say I’ve never encountered another book that made me pause at the very beginning, asking myself: “Am I truly ready to read this and, in doing so, sign a pact with Bill?” Brilliant!

It’s not a traditional storybook—more of a chaotic journal filled with Bill’s twisted insights, drawings, and commentary—but that’s exactly what makes it special. If you're a fan of Journal 3, you'll appreciate this darker, more anarchic companion.

This was a horrifying and entertaining and fascinating book and such a wild ride!! I would expect nothing less from Alex Hirsch himself (and Bill Cipher for that matter!) Coolest thing I've seen come out of Gravity Falls. I want more books like this. I would love to see a sequel to this where you see how his life is post-this book, and what he's going through now. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down and read it all in one day. The family loved it too!! We ended up not doing the two blood rituals he seemed to require and did not accept his deal, so I don't know if the book would have read differently if we had, but it was awesome that way too! (You gotta be really careful making deals with deal-maker demons. Always read the fine print.)

This collector’s book is a beautiful addition to any fan’s shelf. The packaging feels premium, and the glow-in-the-dark feature is a really fun touch that makes it stand out from regular editions. I also appreciated the extra items that come with it — they definitely make it feel special and worth displaying. That said, I was hoping for a bit more new content inside like the journal special edition. Most of what’s included will be familiar to anyone who already owns previous editions or follows the series closely. Still, the overall presentation and collectible value make it a solid buy for fans who love unique editions and bonus features.

This is amazing!!! It is cheap in comparison to other sellers, and it has a super quality material, all original including post cards, a poster, stickers and more.

Awesome book for sny hardcore grabith falls fan that needs that certain itch sctratching after the shoe has ended.
