An excellent quick print document option
This printer is absolutely superb for printing quick contracts, legal documents or quotes, while on site. It is small, relatively lightweight and sturdy. Really easy to set up and use. I installed the suggested app, which has an odd pink childlike interface, but does the job. You select the document type, whether that is an Excel spreadsheet, a Word document, a PDF or a photo. Once done, press print. It really is that simple. The app doesn't consider the abilities of the printer though, as photos just shouldn't really be there. For print quality, the blacks are fine with good contrast and reasonable definition, but any grey scales are not so good. See the video. Definitely a black and white document printer; but not for photos or images. One thing you'll need to consider is the ribbon costs. They are about £12-14 each and they give you about 44 A4 prints per reel. That's about £0.28 per page before paper costs. The portability and simplicity of use does make this a great option and can outweigh the costs though. If you are out and about and need a quick easy way of independently printing documents for clients, this is a really good option.

A few issues, but overall does what I need it for
This was relatively quick to set up. You need to download an app, which is straightforward to use. I found the instructions regarding the lights a bit confusing on first try as they sort of skipped a step, so it wasn't obvious whether green flashing light meant ready to receive paper or ready to print. However once I muttered my way through first use all was fine. The printer doesn't always recognise the paper so it may take a couple of attempts. It did print quite slowly, which I don't mind as it's only for occasional use, but if you you regularly print you may want to look for a different product. All of the above are actually pretty minor issues. My main issue is that I couldn't seem to print multi page documents without putting the document forward to print, but only selecting one page at a time. If I sent multiple pages it would only print one and then do nothing. Overall I'm happy with this product as it suits my needs. I rarely print anything. I can easily work around the foibles. However I think this would not be suitable for anyone who prints even semi regularly.

Useful in moderation
This is a small, highly portable, cordless printer that enables reasonable quality prints of screenshots, documents and even images to be produced whilst away from home. Quality in the circumstances is very good and would be acceptable to pass to a client as an initial document to keep pending receipt of a full version when you get back to the office. Whilst away, quality for your own use is also perfectly acceptable. The printer comes in a box with a small soft case for storage and two connecting leads. You need to download the app, which was a straightforward process and pairing via Bluetooth went without a hitch. The Quick start guide in the box takes you through some basics, but the app requires minimal input from the user and there is no need to provide every piece of information about yourself just to start using the hardware. Indeed, from downloading the app to printing the documents, the slowest part of the process was choosing what to print. It is very intuitive to use and, whilst a little noisy, your printed document is ready in seconds. I have uploaded a small clip of my document being printed. Note that the printed page comes out with the print facing down and not immediately visible, which could be useful for privacy whilst out and about. Having said that, it isn’t something I would use amongst strangers in a quiet environment because the level of noise is likely to be intrusive. You can use any paper, so I chose my normal 100gsm and I’m happy with the results achieved. It will be interesting to try alternative papers over time to perfect the results, but this is good enough for now. It uses a thermal ribbon and that is a big ongoing consumable cost at around £12 to print 45 sheets of A4, which will quickly mount up if you decide to use this regularly. Alternatively you can use thermal paper. For me, this is an acceptable amount for something that wouldn’t be used to print every document as I have a normal printer in the office and at home, so this is something to use when really out and about. It is rechargeable and connects via Bluetooth, so you can print something anywhere you need. It is small enough to pop in a bag and, whilst sturdily built, is not too heavy, although you will need your paper supply as well. Useful for emergencies but factor in the ongoing cost of consumables.

Practical, compact, good print quality (and you can use standard printer paper!)
Key benefits of thermal printers are convenience and portability, and this Itari printer is a really good example. The printer itself is a pretty standard size and weight for this kind of printer. It's fairly compact and lightweight - easy to pop in a briefcase, work bag or a larger laptop bag, or to have on the car seat next to you if you need to print on the go. If you only want to print at home, it wouldn't take up much space on your desk. It's great for printing black and white documents wherever you need to do so. It works wirelessly and doesn't have cables that need to be plugged in to use it. So, it's really versatile and flexible. It's straightforward to set up - eg connecting it with your phone - and the print quality and speed is good. So, once you've set it up, you just need your device/connection, the charged up printer, and some paper, and away you go. An additional bonus for this printer is that you can use standard printer paper - many thermal printers require special thermal printer paper, which is quite a bit more expensive. So, being able to use 'normal' printer paper is a huge plus. Some say that a key benefit of thermal printers is saving money on printer ink (because a thermal printer doesn't use any!) However, you will need to replace the ribbon on this one (the product description says it should last about 45 prints) And there is a significance outlay in the first place to buy the printer. Whether the cost is worth it or not depends on how you want/need to use it. For occasional printing or printing wirelessly on the go, the size, practicality and portability of this printer makes it a great choice. If you want to do lots of printing in one place and you have space for a standard printer, and/or you want to print in colour, and/or you want other functionality eg the ability to use it as a scanner etc, this kind of thermal printer is maybe not going to be the best fit printer for you. I'm really pleased with it and would recommend if you're looking for a thermal printer of this size and style.

Great print quality even on normal paper
Excellent! I can use this printer without requiring any wires! Not even a power cord thanks to it's long lasting rechargeable battery. It can of course also be used whilst plugged in but the fact it doesn't require this makes this a joy. It is small, slim and compact meaning it can travel easy anywhere with me. It recharges via it's USB C port. In the photos i have included i used normal printer paper to print out a coloring book sheet. The results are fantastic in my opinion and i have zero complaints. I've also used this printer for printing address labels via Royal mail online. I go to my email app on my iPhone to access the email with the link to the label from Royal mail and then i just select the correct options then there's a share symbol on print preview, i just click this and i can share it directly to the Phomemo app which it then instantly transports to and allows me to print it. I used sticky back paper for the labels and once again, this printer handles the task perfectly. This printer works perfectly with great print quality without costing the earth for expensive ink cartridges. The only thing to make sure of is that you align the paper correctly otherwise the paper can come out all scruffily. I am absolutely delighted.

Not worth it
The idea is good. If you're on the move and need to print something, what could be handier than a thermal printer that is small enough to fit in a briefcase? In theory, it works; in practice, not so much. It's easy enough to use but it's black and white only and can turn out rather expensive per sheet. And it's not the printer itself that is the mainstay here; it's the ribbon, as that is what prints your documents, and that is what will wear out rather quickly. And it isn't cheap to replace. Yes, this portable printer will mainly be used by those on business somewhere, so that cost probably isn't a factor, but for anyone else, for the amount of use you'll get from it, it really isn't worthwhile.

Very compact mini thermal printer
The Itari wireless portable printer is a really compact portable thermal printer. Very small, and very lightweight, so as per the description you could take it around on the train, car, etc although can’t imagine printing is usually that urgent. Its wireless which is a good feature, so can be used easily with a number of devices. The inkless printing technology, utilizing thermal transfer means there is no ink. That bit seems to work well. It takes different paper up to A4, although that’s the main one that would be used in the UK. Print quality is quite good. Also has a rechargeable battery, so battery life is no issue. Its not the sturdiest of devices, and is probably bargain made. That being said, if this was something you needed this is a good solution.

Great printer, Great tech support
Edit: after trying to contact support via the website I eventually tried the WhatsApp number & had awesome success. The Phomemo team was diligent to figure the issue out and to offer solutions- in the end they pushed a software update on my app which I hadn’t seen available anywhere else and tada! Printer is printing again! I adore this printer, but after aprox. 1 year of use it’s randomly started saying Ribbon error message and will not print. I’ve tried resetting it, cleaning the print head, readjusting the used ribbon, connecting it to a computer and nothing is working. After trying to install the driver on the computer the computer still will not recognize it as a USB device, only a Bluetooth device, and I can’t locate the settings to make it thermal only. I’m unsure what to do, I use this printer constantly it’s the best. Light, portable, convenient, fantastic in a pinch and great battery life. Has anyone experienced this issue? I bought this printer in April of 2024 for my small business to print invoices. I print 4 or 5 pages a week in invoices, plus freight labels etc. The thermal transfer roll lasted me until June 2024, and worked great. I’ll absolutely be ordering more thermal transfer rolls eventually. Since June 2024 I’ve been using thermal paper by the roll, I bought phomemo brand and it works excellent. Battery life is exceptional, it’s lightweight, and it connects via Bluetooth in the phomemo app seamlessly.

False Advertising of an otherwise bad printer
First, the product description lies that it supports Linux and it doesn't. They don't publish PPDs / driver for linux. So I give the product one star for knowingly publishing a false description. They probably assume few enough people will be affected by it that they can just get away with it. Unfortunately, I was one of the few. I was able to get it working with the mobile app over bluetooth. But the print quality was terrible and barcodes were completely blended together and no longer scannable. I tried with the "light" setting and then when that was terrible, I tried the "dedicated" setting and this picture is what that did to the printer ribbon, which is now ruined.
