essence Lash Without Limits Extreme Lengthening & Volume Mascara, Black

This review is for the TUBING VERSION in the BLACK TUBE, not the nontubing in the pink tube. I LOVE Essence Lash Without Limits TUBING Mascara. It goes on beautifully, smoothly with no clumping and lets me make either softly natural lashes for a subtle day look or big dramatic going out lashes with ZERO clumping during application and ZERO flaking if I happen to touch my eyes. I have hooded eyes and sometimes find other brands of mascara leave gray smudges on my upper lids during the day but not this TUBING version. (I emphasize the Tubing because Essence has non tubing mascara in a similar packaging that didn't perform as well as this). My eyes look great all day and even survived a few tears occasionally. I love being able to go about my life and not have to wonder if my mascara is failing and have to take time out to check it in a mirror. I just want to focus on living and not on how I look. Aside from the superior performance, I love that at night my routine is MUCH faster: I step into the shower, splash my eyes with warm water and quickly I feel the mascara come off, feeling like eraser shavings under my eyes. NO EYE MAKEUP REMOVER NEEDED!! Then I continue with my usual double cleansing (The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil) which dissolves sunblock on my face and neck, and any eyeshadow I have on. Some tubing mascaras leave black smudges around the eyes after removal and they you still have to go back after showering, with a cotton pad with eyemakeup remover to clean away the smudges but NOT with this one. This comes off very cleanly which saves me time. Also sometimes I use Retin A around my eyes and any rubbing no matter how gently with a cotton pad can cause irritation so having this mascara come off completely and cleanly in the shower is great. I'm now going through all the other mascaras I have before rebuying this but they all make me appreciate this one even more. My only wish is that it came in brown and navy as options.

I was sick and tired of trying different makeup techniques, tricks and hack for avoiding raccoon eyes. Until I finally heard about tubing mascaras helping avoid it! All the ones that were recommended and that I see are expensive! Over $25 is insane. So when I came across this, an inexpensive option, it doesn’t hurt to try. And man is this gold, I love it so much, it’s now my daily mascara, easy removal, looks so good, doesn’t clump and no raccoon eyes!!!!! I do notice little bit of flaking here and there but that’s probably because I have naturally longer lashes that rub against each other at the corners and my under age but it doesn’t hurt to just dust it off. I just came back from a jog and… this is why I’m writing a review, NO RACCOON EYES. Forever will be repurchasing this!!

This is by far the best mascara for the best price ever!! I will continue to buy until they no longer make it!!! You have to buy it!! It gives great length and dark bold but not clumpy lashes. Doesn’t flake off but is easy to remove when ready to take off. Doesn’t smudge or smear.

For those with shorter lashes this essence Lash Without Limits Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara is probably 10/10. I always get bad raccoon eyes as my eyelashes touch my top and bottom eyelids so I had really high hopes that this waterproof version would be my solution. It went on really smooth, without clumping, and it is buildable. I love how it makes my lashes look long and full so that part is great. However, it still transfers to my skin. The smudged pictures were taken about an hour after application. I’ll still use with other makeup modifications to help prevent transfer, but I’ll still try other products in the essence line to hopefully find one that is perfect for me! Update: after the initial raccoon eye, the mascara holds up well even during water sports. For a mascar under $5, its well worth it.

So... I have a very love/hate relationship with this specific mascara. To start - I am an avid Essense Lash Princess mascara user & have used it religiously for YEARS. Now for the Essense tubing mascara - It is meh to apply as I HATE the brush head. My eyelashes are short and very thin/fine... The plastic bristles on the head are short and the brush holds a LOT of extra mascara between the rows... so I have to basically smash the brush into my lash line to get it to adhere to my lashes. This in turn causes me to have to get a q-tip to clean all of the excess off my lids and lash line. I am also not a fan of that fact that it doesn't give me much volume on each lash, just length. Even after applying multiple layers (3-4) it still only gives length :( But with that being said, I LOVE that it is smudge proof and doesn't run or flake off AT ALL! And taking it off at night is SO much easier than your typical oil based mascara. This is supposed to come off with water and a little bit of pressure, but I honestly still just use my micellar water on a cotton pad and it comes right off. I haven't noticed any lash loss or breakage. If they could adjust the formula to give more volume per lash and maybe change up the brush head, I'd give it more stars. I'll use it just because I don't want to waste it but I am not sure if I would buy this brand of tubing mascara again. I think I'll either go back to the 'ol reliable Lash Princess or continue on my search for a different brand/kind of tubing mascara.

Has got to be one of the BEST mascaras I've ever used, and I've had drug store to high end as a makeup artist. The brush perfectly coats each individual lash giving them a nice length and by adding more coats as it dries you get more volume too. I have not had any clumping issues because this brush is amazing at coating the lashes and I don't even feel I need to use added lashes when I have this mascara on. It's perfect for everyday wear giving you a nice bright eye look without having to do a full glam and it's also great for full glam!! Price is amazing, don't hesitate to buy this one it's an amazing find, hidden gem!! ✨

Hands down the best mascara I've ever used. Goes on easily, no clumping or smearing, and one coat is all it takes to give my short, straight lashes major definition and lengthening. I've worn it hours at a time, in hot humid weather, without smearing or flaking. Zero irritation either. And it really does come off with warm water and a cotton round. The pictures show the same eye with and without mascara, no primer, but I did curl my lashes first. For the low price, essence is amazing.

Super impressed with this mascara. I was not expecting much from this product but I have been blown away. It goes on smooth, does not clump up and give spider lashes. The only down fall I have noticed is it does tend to smear a tiny bit on the bottom lashes after about 6 hours of wear. I guess this is because it is not water proof. Comes off easily with makeup remover liquid and balm. has a great texture and consistency from the start and even after 30 days, no drying out.

Gostei muito da máscara de cílios, sempre usei tubing mascaras e essa não foi diferente! Eu costumava usar a turbo 7.0 ultra resistente da Eudora e ela era mais seca e não borrava tanto (mas também não construía camadas tão bem quanto essa), essa da Essence é mais molhada e líquida, parecida com a super up da Niina secrets, isso não é de tudo ruim, mas se você for desastrada igual a mim ela acaba fazendo uma baguncinha, mas sai bem fácil com o cotonete. Ela alonga muito bem os cílios, fica lindo e constrói camadas tranquilamente, só precisa esperar secar, por ela ser bem líquida, mas depois que seca, fica um efeito incrível! Ela dura muito e não borra, não te deixa panda de maneira alguma! Mas percebi que diferente das outras tubing mascaras que testei, ela é um tico mais sensível à água e sai muito fácil em tubinhos, não mancha mesmo, mas se vc chorar MUITO ou pegar uma chuva demasiadamente forte, pode ser que você acabe ficando sem a máscara se esfregar, pq ela vai sim sair em tubinhos. De qualquer forma, eu amei essa máscara, a embalagem é linda e o aplicador excelente, minha única reclamação é sobre ela ser muito líquida e, antes de secar, ela acaba borrando a pálpebra e sobre ela ser bem sensível a grandes quantidades de água (entendo que ela não é resistente à água, mas acho bacana falar isso). De resto, ela cumpre MUITO BEM a proposta que é ser uma máscara de longa duração (não borrando durante minhas corridas, nas quais eu acabo suando bastante), que alonga os cílios e que sai sem sujeira, com o curvex ela fica sensacional! Recomendo demais! Recompraria!

I have quite short, straight eyelashes. I've tried sooo many mascaras but none of them ever really wowed me. This has to be one of the best mascaras ever! Like I think I've found my HG. I've tried other tubing mascaras like the Natio one, but this Essence mascara lengthens and holds curl amazingly, no spider lashes. Hope this stays part of their permanent line.

L'azione del mascara non è fortissima in termini di volume e allungamento, ma la tecnologia tubing per me lo ha reso una delle novità migliori! Si strucca senza sciogliersi, quindi niente effetto panda e va via immediatamente con un po' d'acqua, ha dimezzato i tempi di struccaggio e basta veramente poco cleanser.. non vedo l'ora che venga riassortito per comprarne 10 pacchi :D
