It’s amazing (don’t trust the negative reviews)
After the cats finally got warmed up to it, it’s been one of the best products I have purchased in my adult life. It’s app works perfectly and I have not had an issue like people have whined about (I almost guarantee they have a poorly setup wifi solutions using their ISP rental modem/router combos and no dedicated router). I push a button it cleans, I use the app it cleans, the only issue is hiding the tubes for the water and exhaust tube into the toilet. I had 9 cats in the house fostering and it’s been kicking butt. I am down to my personal 3 cats again and it’s been a blessing I’ve completely removed my regular clay litter boxes (keeping them in storage in case of emergency) but I’m going to be buying another one to go into my laundry room because my cats deserve two places to poop/pee. Finally with all that being said for smaller homes I don’t know if this is the most practical solution because the bathroom is more or less taken over by the tubes and power cables and I have 5 total bathrooms so sacrificing one wasn’t an issue, also eventually there will be a hidden alcove for the actual genie which also isn’t practical for most so take that with a grain of salt everyone’s situation is different. Tl;dr Pros: 1. Easy af for everything I don’t even think about litter anymore. 2. Haven’t had a singular app or connection issue I can even flush it while I’m at work and flush the toilet when I get home 3. Smells nice I haven’t smelled any urine and the fresh scent is nice but some cats might be sensitive to it. Cons: 1. Pricy but honestly it’s not really because paying $20 every other week for litter over a year is the exact same price when the granules are mostly permanent other than when it gets kicked out of the box or flushed 2. The cartridge for scent is required to operate I wish it could just flush without spraying the sanitizer solution every single time 3. Not much other than getting the cats warmed up took some time and placing turds from the regular litter box in the genie to promote them to use it wasn’t a fun time 4. Large (kinda) and not for every home Message to creators if they even read this: I encourage a mode that lets us sanitize once a day instead of every cycle while it does regular flushes throughout the day allow it to be clean and regularly sanitized without blasting through the sanitizer solution. (I’ve been using manual mode for this reason and absolutely will not put it on a regular cycle like I would like to) Other non cleaning cycles would also be awesome, just a cycle to lay the litter flat again so it’s not lopsided for a second cat to push litter out of the genie would be welcome because I want to save as many granules as I don’t like being wasteful idk I feel like that’s not entirely wild of a concept for a future model and semi easy application If you do consider those and make a new model/update them send me free stuff ;) I’m joking but I would love to know if this was considered or not possible because it was already thought of by smarter people than myself!

Customer service is not for the customers
I have been a car genie customer for over 6 years and bought my 2nd unit. I had 3 sani solution cartridges that didn't work. 2 were used in the previous unit while 1 was not. none of them worked in my new unit and were still full. I called customer service to see if they could remedy the issue as I've been spent thousands of dollars to be told it's not an issue with the cart genie doggo there's nothing they can do. of course it's not an issue with the new cart genie. it was the old one that apparently messed up the chip in the cartridge. instead of replacing the ineffective cartridges, the manager of customer service basically called me a liar and said there was nothing they could do since I threw away the old unit. who keeps a feces infested cat genie that is broken? Unbelievable that they can't replace malfunctioning cartridges when I just paid 600 for a new unit. Absolutely ridiculous. Do better

Cat genie
I have had the cat genie it will be a week tomorrow. I am so happy I purchased it. I have four cats. 2 of them are already using it totally. And the other two are starting to warm up to it. With a little more time, I plan on getting rid of the second litter box and only use the cat genie. It definitely a lot cleaner than the automatic Ilitter box that I have, where everything goes in a bag. But the smell lingers. I set the cat genie up and haven’t had to do anything. I plan on doing a monthly cleaning to ensure it lasts. But I love it. It’s cleaner, smells better and it’s pretty much takes care of itself. Other than adding litter or solution and the soak. I wanted to update this, because I broke the drain hook helping my daughter use the bathroom. Because I have our cat genie running into our toilet. So I called cat genie customer service and they are sending us a new drain hook. They were very nice and helpful with our needs, she even suggested risers for our toilet seat to help from breaking the new one when it gets here. And also let us know when our warranty would expire. I am very grateful to them. And that’s simply another reason why I will not use anything other than cat genie unless they come out with a more amazing one. I am so happy. I went from three automatic litter boxes to one cat genie and my house has lost a bad odor caused by the automatic boxes. I recommend anyone who has indoor cats give this a try, they will be happy they did. Update: I have now had this a month basically and I gotta say I am still loving not having to clean this cat genie. I had a issue one time and when I googled it, it wasn’t draining the line was stopped up so I took a little battery powered air pump and stuck it in the end of the drain hose and blew the line out and haven’t had any issues since. I also have already done the two hour soak and that wasn’t hard either. I definitely Do Not ever want any other litter box other than a cat genie. I just wish the offered washable pellets that are bigger so they don’t get tracked all over the house. That is the only thing I would change. I still think anyone who has cats needs this, it certainly has made us happy not cleaning litter boxes everyday. And our house doesn’t smell like it did.

Clean Cat Feet, and clean cat box. Dad approves of never having to shake clumps into the trash
Who never wants to touch or smell cat poop or urine should get this. It’s the only box that liquifies the cats waste and cleanses the litter so the little feet that are walking on your counters at night, or touch your face are as clean as can be. Yes it’s a bit noisy but the app lets you set operating hours that don’t disturb your sleep. Worth it

Horrible litter box and not worth the price
For the price I paid for this isn’t worth it clogs all the time I don’t recommend it I’m probably just gonna throw it away even though it had a 3 yr warranty hunk of junk smells awful too cats we’re afraid for like months and starting urinating and pooping in my house took forever for them to use it!!!!! I wish I could give it 0 stars the price was ridiculous and it’s worst litter box I’ve ever purchased I recommend XXXL LITTER BOXES METAL WITH LID

Does not function properly - fills with water and fails to drain until manual reset
Initially had trouble getting it to consistently completed a cycle despite verifying proper installation. After pulling the drain hose out to ist full extension and just pushing the extra length up behind it, it now operates smoothly for most cycles. Additionally, the cat now often refuses to use it since it malfunctions during the cleaning cycle, filling with water and then not draining until reset. Overall, feels like a huge waste of money

Love this litter box
I loved this litter box so much I got a second one. I have 10 cats, so litter boxes were a chore (I had 7 automatic litter boxes that helped, but was still a lot of work to clean). I researched these for a bit before deciding to try one, since they are expensive and I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to set up. I got it and set it up in my laundry room, next to another litter box. Set up only took me about 15 minutes. The hardest part was getting the dome to fasten together (ended up using a hammer lol). It took a few weeks and me letting the other boxes get a bit dirtier, but they started using it more and more, so I decided to get another one to set in my bathroom. I've had the 2 set up for about 3 weeks now and they use the other litter boxes so much less. I'm hoping to get to the point if them using the catgenie exclusively, but I am down to 2 regular litter boxes and it has made my life a lot easier. As far as continuing cost, the cartridge is about $25. I got the 1st catgenie the middle of April and it lasted until the last week of May, so 6 weeks. I was paying about $60 every 2 weeks for crystal litter, so in the long run, these not only save me time, a mess, and smelly boxes, they will end up costing me less in the long run, even if I buy a cartridge for each cat genie monthly. The noise level, I'd compare it to a washing machine. It's not loud, but you can hear it. The 2 I have are right next to my bedroom and they don't wake me and I'm a pretty light sleeper. It comes with a bag of litter, I did buy an extra to add as needed and I haven't had to add any yet. It does track a bit more than the crystal litter did, but that's a trade off I'm willing to put up with. Just put a good litter mat under it. I'm actually thinking of getting a 3rd, but I'm not sure the best way to hook it up. My other bathroom isn't quite as big and they do take up a bit of space. Although not much more than a traditional litter box. Very glad I took the plunge.
