THE tips taps need threads I'm nit sure why it's a hard smooth plastic. It would be nice if nide and other colors were offered. These are more Caramel colored. I'm glad it had a tool very handy, heavy at weight, and really grips and pulls it out and also straightens the pin. It works the issue is alot have a thick pin I had to find pins that are thinner to work. So far I repaired 1 pair of highheels. My heel broke like eraser when I was putting my show in ny luggage glad it broke when I could fix it and not when I was on the dance floor. I'm ready for formal. Then tap them in by using the floor bam thr heel on the floor even surface eventually it will go in but it need to go in straight if it's curling and hard to put in it's because that show need a thinner pin body nit that thick body. It's alot of thick body taps on that container. I choose like the size up from the smallest in that kit. I feel so handy and jack of many trades it feels good to do projects I auprise myself everyday when I get like a tenacity urge to be optimistic and go and handle what needs to be handle. Checked off my list to di one less worry one less stress. THE PART THAT WOULD TRIP ME OUT IS SAY IF THE PIN EVERY STAY STUCK HOW DO WE GET THOSE OUT? One of the reason I picked this for the tool before this set I used the big toe nail clipper to grab 1 rivet out from the shoe the needle nose wasn't successful but then I messed up the rivet on the other show bending flaps of metals I was like nope not about to bend up this metal and be stuck with a stub I set them heels aside went on Amazon a specific grabbing tool is just what I need.

Waste of money

The tool that came with the set cut the tip off. It should be needle nose pliers. The tips are good though

I mostly got this for the tool, which worked as I needed it to, to pull the pools broken heel tack out. The tan heel tacks that come with this set don’t match the tan that are on my current shoes but it’s all good as you can just change both of them to match.

Great concept but in no way does the tool work for removing the existing rod from the heel. I tried on several shoes and it did not work. The tools grip is wide and will not fit under the rod in order to remove. I damaged a heel trying. I returned. Stick with taking your shoes to a cobbler. They are a dying breed and they need work too.

This set makes fixing job very easy because it comes with various size of tips and a convenient pulling tool. It saved money and time of going shoe repair shop!
