Surprisingly Well Made for the Price - Very Easy to Use - Excellent Value
I bought these for my 1" diameter easy curl bar. I am a little old school and was still using the older style collars with a bolt and t-handle that are slow to get on and off and often work lose. That can be frustrating when you are in then middle of a set and the weights start to separate or clang. I was looking for a set of collars that have and angle bolt, which I also have that work much better but still take time to get on and off, and came across these.I was a little skeptical since in my experience bar diameters can vary slightly. I did not want to have a collar that was hard to get on and off or where the locking mechanism was real hard to engage. I was surprised at how easy these are to engage and how well they hold. The rubber inside is spongy enough to allow the collar to be sized right so it does not get hung up and yet can compress easily enough to not require a ton of effort and yet still hold very well. They are also very well made. Even though they are light the material used and the build quality are excellent.I have had a home gym and been working out for over 45+ years so I have seen my way around a lot of gym equipment and have nothing but the best in my home gym. That said, I can recommend these collars without any hesitation and plan to buy another set for my straight bar and possible a set for my 2" Olympic bar too - although the spring clips I have work pretty good for the larger diameter. Either way you cannot go wrong buying these collars.Update 1/1/22After using this clamp set for a few workouts I wanted to provide a quick update. I used them on a 1" EZ-Curl bar and it worked very well as noted in my initial review. My last workout I used them on another straight 1" bar. It went on a tad tighter, still easy enough though, but took much more effort to active - on and off. When I moved them back to the EZ-Curl bar there was a noticeable reduction in pressure - not a lot and they still held firm, but enough to raise a concern. I suspect the pads were compressed a bit more on the slightly larger straight bar so they were loose when moving back to the EZ-Curl bar. I am sure the pads will decompress over time and be fine. But I also believe over time they will stay more to the larger size and not be a good fit on the EZ-Curl bar any longer. As I noted in my original review, 1" bars can vary just slightly in diameter resulting in the situation I experienced. For that reason I would recommend getting a set for each bar that you might have, to avoid this problem. That was always my plan once I had a chance to evaluate the clamps. It's just more convenient anyway not to mention a safer setup.I also saw a few reviews about these coming loose when used on dumbbells. IMO these are not made for and should not be used with dumbbells. Especially if you are planning to use them over your head. That is not something I would recommend for any dumbbell setup. If you are using dumbbells they should not have collars that can be removed without a tool...period - or should be solid and not have collars at all. That is not a safe style of dumbbell to use and I have seen many an accident due to this sort of setup. Invest in quality dumbbells if you are setting up a home gym. It is worth it in the end.

Great Product
I have tons of locks for the threaded bars.I ordered a 72" standard barbell which was listed as threaded... wasn't threaded so i ordered a set of these. They Came in next day and worked perfectly. Very solid and seemingly durable. They are also not huge in size so they don't take up a ton of the bar. They also can be used on threaded barbells or dumbells but the lock isn't has tight. overall great product at a fair price .

Great Product... but Fit depends on your bar.
Great and easy to use. I was worried about some peoples comment that it doesn't fit on the the bar tightly. However I gave it a shot and on my first bar it was a little loose. On another bar of mine though it was tight and snug... so it depends on your bar. UPDATE: The bar it was loose on was a new bar that I just ordered. After checking the bar it was smaller than specified by the manufacture. I ordered a new bar and these clamps now work on all my bars with no issues...

Super easy on and off. Works great on my 1 inch bar.
Comes a *little* loose/shifts during lifting but only by 1-2mm, rubber inside helps keep them from shifting.

Great for barbells.
Obviously not for dumbells, dont be that guy. I've been using them for a few days now on my barbell in the garage. I use them for rows, deadlifts, and squats. Works great. I just needed something to keep my different sized plates from wiggling thier way apart when I lift. These work great.I like the bright colors too, I can't really lose them being bright green.

These Collars did not work well for me
These safety collars don't work well because they don't clamp on to the shaft well enough. The weights on my barbells kept getting loose so I thought that putting these collars behind the threaded retainer that came with my barbell would keep the original bolt like retainers from backing off while I exercised. I was wrong. The plastic safety collars would not stay in place because they did not clamp on hard enough and the weights would loosen after about 20 mins of exercise. I even tried putting some extra material on the inside of the collars to tighten them up which helped a little but not enough to make it stay in place. I was constantly re-checking and adjusting the collars and the original metal threaded weight retainer which was a big distraction to me. I finally gave up and bought some metal collars with a screw mounted perpendicular to the bar which I could tighten. This solved the problem. Don't waste your money on these plastic collars. I also contacted the company and suggested that they do something to increase the tightness between the collars and the shaft.

Don't hold well on single threaded dumbbells
I bought these for my single dumbbell set that uses a threaded collar. Company claims these fit 1" bars including threaded but, some reviews claim the hold on threaded wasn't strong enough, thought I'd try for myself. Reviews were right, heavier weight pushes the collars off. I suspect the threaded bars are slightly smaller. These are wider than the threaded collars so take up more room but, are quick and easy to use. Seam like good construction at a reasonable price and shipped on time unfortunately, I won't be using them when I use heavier weight.

Not much to say
They're easy to apply and grip, no slip.

Beware women with long nails!!
Not saying these aren’t perfect for their use but people with long nails (fake or real) beware when opening and closing these!! They can be stiff and hard to open which has resulted in me bending nails, breaking nails and breaking skin with my nails :(Just a warning to the people who love their long nails! Love the pink tho.

Worth every cent
So much better than wire clips. Easy to use, inexpensive, you can't go wrong with these. I ended up buying 2 sets so I can also use these with barbell handles. My only complaint is that these use a rubber like material to grip onto the bar; on deadlifts these clamps start to walk out. This is not a big deal though on a barbell. We'll see how well they grip on a dumbbell.

Almost really good
This is definitely nitpicking, but I didn't realize there was an extra step in removing these clips from the bar. There's a little safety you have to press while opening the clip at the same time, which makes it impossible to open with one hand. They're well-made though, so it is what it is.
