Yes, just pull the handle and it slips off easy.

I'm not sure where it's made,however I can tell you it really WORKS! There have been times when I've forgotten to remove the bar from the door, and family members with keys try to open the front door. Each time an attempt was made even with a key to open the barred front door, it was IMPOSSIBLE to push in. I don't know where it's made, but it's a GREAT product.

Could you post or provide us a copy of this certification in this Q&A? I've used the original Buddybar and then the 2nd generation Buddybar, and their product is 9lbs to your 3 lbs. Does it work on patio doors?

If by "patio doors" you mean sliders, the answer is no. SecuraDoor works on in-swinging hinged doors. We are working on a great security solution for sliders but we are still months away from launching that product.
