You have to be careful handling it and it does include some plastic parts, such as the battery cover, which are not as robust as the main body - but I've had no breakages since buying. Being able to reverse the lid to stop the heating reaction is really good and unique amongst 'lighter fluid' run hand warmers. This reversible cap prevents further evaporation of the fuel, but don't expect it to hold it from one season to the next. I know they're expensive, but I've had a number of other makes and am now saving up for a second S-Boston; says it all really. Overall I would choose this one every time. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Long lasting heat but poor build quality *by G***F on 26 November 2019* I use this handwarmer when I'm playing golf and for the most part it works well but I've had to buy spare battery covers (they break and can be dislodged when putting the sleeve on) and the ignition system seems to be a little erratic. I don't know if the batteries are affected by the heat generated by the warmer but after four or five uses I have to replace them. The element that lights the warmer just refuses to glow unless I do. I had one unit replaced because it wouldn't light at all and I now think that the extra pressure I applied to the ignition button to try to get it going may have damaged something. The button does take a little bit of pressure to hold it down anyway. it is a great little warmer and does stay warm for at least twenty hours sometimes but I have just bought a new rechargeable one because I suspect that my latest one is beginning to show signs that starting it will become a little hit or miss. April 2022 Update: After being used just a few times during the winter, the handwarmer no longer works. The ignition element refuses to glow.
