Review: All images black and white photocopies and not colour - This is a complaint against O'Rielly publishing, you pay a lot of money for this book only to find that all the diagrams and pictures are black and white, not colour, which makes it that little more difficult to follow. O'Rielly are not the only publishers using this to save money, however, it is where I have spent my money. The description ahould make it clear that all diagrams and picture are not colour. Somehow it appears printing just black and white images has become the norm, there will be some usual explanaition of providing value and keeping cost down, however, I would rather have paid another £5 for colour images, not what is clearly photocopies of a colour image and printed as black and white. I wish I had purchased the Kindle format, that has colour images making it easier to take in the content. Dafür werden Konzepte wie Star Schema, Joins, Set-Opeerationen eingeführt. OK. Das war für mich weitgehend Wiederholung und eher unnötig. Dann werden diese Konzepte in DAX, Poweer Query/M, SQL noch einmal wiederholt, halt aus der Perspektive der jeweiligen Sprache und einigen Besonderheiten. Meiner Meinung nach, fehlt es bei den eingewobenen Praxisbeispielen an der Tiefe. Es werden Codebestandteile gelistet, die ein Wissen voraussetzen, dass überhaupt nicht zu der oberflächlichen Einführung passt. Daher kann ich das Buch weder für Anfänger noch für Fortgeschrittene wirklich empfehlen. Da helfen auch die Beispieldateien auf GitHub nicht. Potenzial für eine zweite, bessere Auflage.
