Even my Japanese medium nib fountain pen works beautifully, and my writing stays crisp and smooth. This quality is rare in similar notebooks and makes the journal extra valuable for anyone who enjoys using premium writing tools or works on extensive projects. I also appreciate the subtle dot grid, which helps keep lines straight without being distracting. I love this beautiful journal and will be ordering again soon! I have long used a5 journals and it is quite comparable to walmarts exceed brand. For its price point, im quite impressed with the quality and functionality. Was also tickled about the bonus stencils included. With my use of Zebra fountain pens and highlighters(Bic) I have found the writing ability quite enjoyable for the paperweight. I love its size and the dot grid is quite light and extends the whole way to ends of pages which is an enjoyable touch. I have had minimal to no bleed through thus far unless I'm overlapping marker 2× or more and it's durability for living in a makeshift TN in my purse is quite appealing thus far with no visable wearing yet. The ribbons and elastic bands(including pen loop) seem quite sturdy thus far. Will be likely to purchase again in the future the smaller to take notes in for classes and surely will provide updates when it has been fully used. After 2 weeks, it's been quite a pleasure to use thus far so if your looking for something like this. This is a good choice. Update: so I have been using regularly especially since my daughter has been born and have found some things that bleed through more than I thought. I was gifted tombow brush pens for Christmas that definitely bleed through. For my Zebra fountain pens in black blue and purple I find the ghosting more mild. I will be using again for notes on language learning and may try their higher GSM for daily planning as I have fallen in love with the tombow soft tip fudenosuke and fountain pen combo.

amazing for junk journaling! it can handle getting pretty thick lol strap is decent, i put a charm on mine. pages feel nice too. theres a section at the front were you can write the page contents, and a pocket in the back. the cover is also smooth and decently thick, bends eventually if you pack the book full but that's expected. two ribbons to mark pages and a strap for a pen on the side. very pretty color too, still lays pretty flat even tho mines bent, and lots of pages- over 300.

Okay so it feels high quality but havnt had it long enough to test its durability but as for bullet journaling its exactly what i wanted, numbered pages, dot grid style, nice color and outside, the pen holder and not one but 2 book marks is very nice. the back cover pocket is always under rated glad it has that. the stencils are cool but lets be honest if your spending time decorating your bullet journal you procrastinating on the tasks at hand. aint no one got time to draw little banners for shit. the pre built page index section is nice and glad its not too forward trying to give you a lay out for everything. and the disconnected back spine makes it easy to keep open. just the right amount of stuff would recommend i hope it is durable.

Solid quality, especially considering the price. I didn't have the highest hopes, but it's really nice. Dots are visible without being distracting, so it's easy to make fun designs on the pages. Pages are thick enough that there's no bleed through when I use markers, but there is a bit of dissolving in the spots I use marker on the side they're used. Pages absorb color well and are thick enough that they haven't warped from the use of glue or tape. Pages lay flat when it's open, though the book being as thick as it is makes one side slightly more difficult to write in, but that's to be expected. The pen holder is elastic, so it would hold onto any size pen well enough, and the elastic band that holds the book closed is sturdy. The pocket in the back has come in handy for sticker sheets and it even came with 2 surprise stencils with cute designs and numbers that have come in handy. Having the 2 ribbon bookmarks has also been nice and there haven't been any issues with them. Overall, a great purchase!

I bought this last and have been using it since the start of this year. I do really like it, its thicker and bigger than I expected and the hard cover is nice(its has a very soft feeling). You dont have to worry about pressing down to keep your journal from closing. The dots on the pages aren't too dark so doing layouts/spreads are no biggy. There is minimal bleed through, not enough to bother me. There was also a stencil, that I dont remember reading about so a plus?? Maybe?? I do really like this journal so when it comes time for me to buy another it'll be this one!!

As a bullet journal user, I have gone through a few different Brands for dotted notebooks through the years- this has been my first from RETTACY. This one in particular was cost efficient, 316 pages(the additional pages were for table of contents), and had a color I wanted available so I purchased it. Overall I'd rate it decent and would buy it again. The ghosting of the paper isn't horrible when using zebra mildliners. I haven't tried my POSCA markers yet but I don't speculate it being too much of an issue unless I really saturate the surface for it to absorb and bleed through - this would happen normally as the paper weight is in comparison to copy paper. It doesn't bother me at all given my usage of bullet journals. In addition, the hardcover does feel nicer than some other brands I've used as it's more smooth matte texture to the leather. In comparison to Walmart's Exceed line which is roughly a similar price, RETTACY does give you a pen loop and stencils with the notebook and more pages within the notebook than Walmart's counterpart. In comparison to LEUCHTTURM1917 series, RETTACY's cover and paper texture is way more pleasant to me. RETTACY's paper is also more visually whiter than LEUCHTTURM1917 along with providing more pages. Just to be clear - I do enjoy all these brands' notebooks but its really about the price point and options available at the time I go looking for a new dotted notebook. I don't always chose the same color each year I end up needing a new one either.
