Skullcandy Hesh ANC Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones True Black

These are amazing! I wish I'd invested sooner. They make me feel safe in a little cocoon when I'm overwhelmed and I love taking my music with me wherever I am in the house. The noise cancelling is great. You can still hear, but it blocks out so much and makes everyone sound very distant.

Best headphones ever used, battery lasts a while. Cuts out any noise when playing music. Great value for money.

I got these for my daughter and she is really happy with them they are never off her head!

These headphones are well made and look almost identical to the Skullcandy Hesh Evo. It is hard to tell them apart based on appearance (except for the mic holes used for ANC).The sound quality is great, although it isn’t the same as the Hesh 2 (wired), which I felt sounded better. There is more bass than the Hesh 2.I bought the Bose QC Ultra ANC (Gen 1) headphones, but I wasn’t happy with the sound quality. However, these Skullcandy headphones win in terms of sound quality, though they are not very strong when it comes to ANC. Because of this, they may be better for people who want more awareness of their surroundings. ANC headphones can also create a slightly unnatural sensation, but I found the Skullcandy pair has less of that uncomfortable feeling.The Skullcandy headphones are a bit big for activities like jogging, although I did use my Hesh Evo for jogging and they did stay on. They are also not very portable for travel.

Very pleased - on value for moiney they score highly as the noise cancellation is really quite marvellous. NOt super loud though. ALl in all good value. Nice n comfy too. Recommended at this price point.

These headphones are amazing blocks outside noise and fabulous sound nice and light to quality is amazing . And very comfortable and look great two .

First - sound quality is pretty good. The noise cancellation works well (except in windy conditions). The mic seems a bit poor for using as a headset for phone calls (even compared to the much cheaper Skullcandy Riff Wireless 2 which I got this to replace).The issues:The Tile app integration (which worked on the older model) does not work at all. The included instructions conflict with how to pair it compared to the in-app instructions, but neither method works.Like the riff2, there is no internal DAC (at least not on the USBC port) so you can't connect it directly to a phone or laptop with a USB C cable to listen to use it as an audio device.Unlike the riff2 - if you connect the USBC to a charger, and try the 3.5mm port (to charge it when the battery inevitably dies) it does not work.Compared to the riff2 - at least the battery low warning only goes off every couple of minutes (instead of every 30s) when you are down to 20min or so. However, it (even with the ANC disabled) doesn't last nearly as long (and certainly not the advertised length).Lastly, when multipaired - e.g. to a phone and laptop, it does not switch audio inputs well. E.g. when there is no sound on the laptop playing, but you try to take a call or use a music app on the phone it doesn't switch and play. The Riff 2 did this perfectly. You have to explicitly disconnect the laptop bluetooth connection before it will switch.Overall, this could be a major upgrade for the other pair, but does not even manage to do the minimum the old ones could at multiple times the price.I can't offer a better option, but my advice would be to look elsewhere first and only get these if there is something very specific about them that you might want.

This marks my 5th attempt in over a year trying to check off all of my boxes when searching for a pair of headphones. Here is what I wanted:- Under $100 (Got these for $80)- Over-ear- Wireless- Good sound stage and width- Good battery life- Non-obtrusive Noise Canceling- Option for wired connection- Prominent bass, punchy/smooth mids, clear highs- Comfortable on the head and ears (I have a L/XL head)Every box was checked except for one tiny thing in the audio, which is kind of negated on price point alone. More on that in this next paragraph.Just got these today, have tested them with about every genre that mixes differently (ex music producer and engineer), tested them on some of my favorite mixed movies and played a few of my favorite games... here is my take on the sound.With ANC on, the mids essentially disappeared as well as the compression on the bass, but it's not nearly as bad as some higher-end headphones I tried. The highs are still nice and crisp with the center of the mix (especially vocals) pushing through nicely.With ANC off, the headphones sound great. The sound stage is there, even though the bass comes through very heavy, you can tell they put a lot of thought into the drivers and panning information. The layering is beautiful with a well mastered/mixed song. Very compressed feel but overall impressive for the cost. The one problem with the mix is that the mids are not very prevalent. You can hear it in most of the modern mixes of today, especially in the vocals, guitar tones, drum fills, swelly instruments and other smooth mid instruments, as well as certain FX and folly in movies. They are there, but not to the quality of like an expensive pair of Sans or Boss. Regardless, I'm pretty impressed.The connectivity and functionality of the headphones are pretty straight forward. Easy to understand, instructional images on a single faced print out with a button map. Comes with a short USB-C to USB-C, and even shorter USB to USB-C, an AUX cable (3.5mm), a 1 year global warranty booklet and of course the headphones. No protective case. But the packaging is solid and well designed. Pairing was a breezeThey are lightweight and durable in their construction. The headband adjustment increment locks are a bit loose but doesn't seem to matter when on your head. The ears/cans themselves have a short ranged swivel on them. The cushioning material and density are somewhere in the middle in terms of quality but they are super soft and decently breathable. They kind of hug your head like a concerned but not overbearing mother who has cookies waiting for you after your talk.They look absolutely beautiful. The matte finish is kind of a ballsy choice because of potential scratches and oils but damn, are they pretty. Skullcandy has always had some Master Chief meats Alien lookin designs but these have a definite umph in class about them.Overall, I feel like Skullcandy has stepped it up with these headphones. They understand the assignment and have listened to what people are complaining about. At least I can dream in thinking I helped contribute to that 😂I will update this review soon to let you all know how durable and consistent everything remains, as well as battery life.Happy Shopping :)UPDATE:Still loving them, nothing has changed. Have even fallen asleep with them on a few times and they still survived my Andre the Giant head.

The only downside to these headphones is that it can't be used while charging, and doesn't come with a protective case. However, it's definitely loud and bassy enough for me as a metal fan, the latency is low enough that I can use it for competitive gaming. The ANC is good, but it's not phenomenal, it blocks about half of most noise after the passive noise cancellation, I can't hear anyone when I'm at above 50% volume listening to music. It struggles with wind, and I find myself turning ANC off outdoors.One last thing, using the microphone and headphones at the same time REALLY degrades the audio quality over bluetooth but it'll always be better to buy this and a gaming mic seperately than a headset w/ a mic anyway. And you could just use the wire it comes with to circumvent this, though when plugged into my PC motherboard I can hear electrical interference, which is likely just my PC, but might come up for others tooDefinitely recommend
