Well constructed, BRIGHT LED panel with a nice UI and feature set
Three hundred bucks is not chicken feed. I really hesitated on this one. Ultimately the brightness and the high CRI made me pull the trigger. And I'm glad I did. This thing is insanely bright. And I'm going to start with what most people would consider the throwaway. Even if you just decided to mount this thing behind a drumset, in music mode, you'd have a killer stage light. Despite the fact that this is primarily aimed at the video shooting market, the DMX (five pin, btw) and other features make it a flexible and useful light for so many uses. Particularly when music-response modes in most of these lights are junk. This isn't. I put it on a stand in my studio, entered the one and only music mode, and turned up the brightness. Then I put on Peter Gabriel's "Panopticon," and let 'er rip. So. Much. Color. And so much brightness. I was very pleased with the way this light tracked frequency, and made a fantastic little one-position light show. That aside, this is a fine piece of kit for its primary purpose. No matter what you're accustomed to in the way of video lighting, there are control modes that will let you integrate this into a shooting kit. It's one of those flex-players--you'll pull it out for all kinds of uses. The only slight downside really isn't much of one. This is a hard light, even at its size. That is surely owing to the many little reflectors built into the design. It's not diffuse at all. But it's exceptional brightness will give you plenty of light through a layer of diffusion cloth, which would give it the softness of a much larger source. I really didn't expect to come away from testing being able to say it's worth the three bills. Looks like I was wrong. This is five easy stars. Really an exceptional tool, and provided it holds up, one that I suspect I'll be happy I chose.

Expensive, but worth it. Feels like a professional tool.
$300 is a lot for a single light like this, and even Neewer has some very similar offerings at lower price points. This model boasts far more LED bulbs, DMX control, and some kind of proprietary lens reflector. I should also note I own probably at least a dozen different RGB LED lights... most are the smaller type, either wands, tubes, or the smaller battery-powered mini-panels. This thing is in a whole other league in terms of build quality and brightness. Favorite things about this light: - Brightness. It is BRIGHT and it (can be) SATURATED. Where some of my smaller units really struggle to put out enough light to throw a color wash on a background wall against ambient light, this thing has no trouble at all. Colors are rich and full, but can easily be dialed back in saturation as well. - Easily controlled via physical buttons on the back panel. All these apps are great, but when push comes to shove I want to be able to turn a few knobs on the back and get things where I want them, and this lets you do that. Controls are easily accessible and intuitive. - Build quality. Easily the most robust LED panel light I own. Most surfaces are metal, and everything feels really beefy and substantial. - Comes with a padded soft case. Seems like a small thing but I've bought so many lights that don't. For heavy use you'll likely want something tougher, but it's good for light travel/use and is a nice include. I don't use DMX or lighting control, so I can't comment on those features, but if you do I bet that's a really nice function to have. This thing has immediately become my go-to for providing colored light on video shoots. It does need diffusion as the light is fairly hard/direct, but that's true of most panel lights.

Very Happy with this Panel
I'm very happy with this Panel light. I have been using it now for a few months and I love it. The metal housing built quality of this light is awesome. For the size of this light, it's super bright, providing 23000Lux and offering 6 lighting modes including CCT and HHS. The CCT gives you 2500K-10000K temperature light control for different types of shoots. The metal housing of this light also provides a cooling system that allows for continuous video shoots without overheating. The cooling system features 3 fan options: Auto, Med, and Silent. This is a great feature to have for different types of shoots that require soundless operation. I like that this light includes barn doors, and DMX output and input connections. I only have two wishes for this light: first, that it included a removable diffuser, and second, that it had a V-mount or Sony L-series mount built-in on the back panel. Besides that, I recommend this light for both starting and more serious videographers and photographers. I forgot to mention, you can control this light with the Neewer App, and the app works great.

Very Nicely Made, Easy to Use & Setup, Bright, Portable
This is a very nice light setup for the price. First off, they feel well made and don't feel cheap. They are very easy to setup & use. This is battery powered and can be charged via a power bank if need be - therefore making it easy to setup from almost anywhere. The light itself is pretty bright and I have been using this a lot when filming and taking photos. It is app controlled that allows you to adjust brightness and overall control the lights. It works as I would expect and the app is nicely designed and easy to use. There a are a lot of different ways to use this and mounting is very easy and versatile. All things considered, this is a nice, relatively portable light set that works as it should. I use it a lot when I film and I absolutely love it!

At least when on sale. The manuals leave a lot to be desired so here's a few comments: -The 2.4ghz mode is for controlling all fixtures on the assigned channel from a single fixture. Looks like any fixture you change settings on will send a packet with its values to the rest. - The dmx profiles aren't exactly ideal. There's no way to assign a dmx mode from the menu, instead the value of the first channel determines the mode.
