This was popular with an 11 year old and he proceeded to take everyone's fingerprints. However, you end up with a black finger for a few days as the ink wears off. More suitable for an older child as it could get messy with a younger child. Good fun.

Don't waste your money on this toy! The ink pad is very splodgy for collecting decent fingerprints. The prints collected with the adhesive tape and put onto the collecting pad were very poor. Overall very disappointed with this product.

After some deliberation as to which fingerprint kit to buy I thought I would try this one. I really wish I hadn't The kit contains * Ink pad * Dusting powder * Dusting paintbrush * Magnifying glass * 10 digit fingerprint recording cards * Fingerprint lifting tape * Suspect fingerprint recording card * Fingerprint dusting pad * Detective ID Card * Small plastic box to fit your kit into * Instructions Whilst the concept of the idea is good and a great way for a child to understand the process of fingerprint recording and analysis the kit is a downfall. Errors and faults with the kit * Instructions had multiple spelling and gramatical errors * Dusting powder was empty leaving me to hunt for a suitable household alternative which resulted in me using icing sugar * Pad ink was too runny and so left smeary prints even when the greatest of care was taken to create accurate prints * Dusting brush is nothing more than a cheap nasty paintbrush I found myself looking for an alternative. * Magnifying glass was useless £12 for a childs toy is not too expensive in todays market however with the kit list I mentioned above you would be better off buying seperate items that would be better value for money instead this kit didn't even provide a disapointing half hours entertainment. I recommend purchasing an alternative.

This set was purchased for use at a Bear Scout activity, and the boys all loved it! The fingerprinting ink was a little smeary, and the boys had to wash their hands a couple of times, but other than that, they had so much fun learning about fingerprints and forensics!

This item was awesome i2 used it for my college forensics class. Thekit the school wants you to buy cost like $60 and this one cost like 15 this was a great buy thank you so much for this item!!!
