Alegria Women's Classic Clog

First off I have to say I LOVE these shoes with a passion. I ended up buying 3 more pairs of Alegrias in different styles within a month because of how good my feet feel when I wear these. I have issues with my large toe joint on one foot (hallux limitus) and plantar fasciitis on the other foot. I had the fasciitis on the other foot in the past so I knew as soon as it started this time to get really good shoes. Wearing only Alegria shoes for the last 2 months has helped my condition to not get any worse. They aren't healing it, but they are keeping it from getting any worse. Any time I have tried to wear another style of shoe I instantly feel pain in my heel, but never when I wear the Alegrias. The sizing can be tricky. In my experience, I wear a solid 9 in most shoes, sometimes even a 9.5, but only if a shoe runs a little small. All 4 of my Alegrias (the Paloma, the Classic clog, the Belle, and the Kaitlyn) are sized 39. In the classic clog I have plenty of room, especially once they got worn in (i wear these all the time in the house because of my heel issue). The Paloma fits like a dream. The Kaitlyn has a slightly different insole so it feels smaller, but not too small as my toes aren't touching the end. The Belle almost felt too small at first, but after a day of wearing they broke in and now I don't notice my toes touching the end like they did the first day. Now for the solution to the squeak that some have complained about. The squeak originates in the sole of the shoe from the insole rubbing against the inside of the shoe itself. If you remove the insole and coat the bottom of it with a silicone lubricant like you can get at a hardware store or auto supply store, it will cease the squeak. All four of my pairs developed the squeak after a few days of wear. After spraying the bottom of the insoles 3 of them no longer squeak at all. The classic clogs still squeak, but I believe the issue with those is different. The squeak seems to originate on the top of the shoe where the leather strap rubs against the decorated cork top (they are the classic cork black pull up design). I don't know how long this fix lasts, but so far it's been a few weeks since I sprayed mine and they are still squeak free.

Very comfortable and easy to walk in with great arch support. Lots of compliments and they go with so much. I have many pair of Alegria brand and they last a long time.

Okay first of all I usually wear seven to seven and a half in shoes I had to buy an 8 8 1/2 they run very small also I got the regular width I had to return them and get the wide width I'm a Night Nurse 12-hour shifts and my feet were killing me for the last 3 years. I tried every shoe imaginable. Finally I asked a co-worker that I noticed had multiple colors of these and they looked worn not bad but I could tell she had warn them for years so I asked her who made them. So glad I did zero foot pain. I've been wearing them for 3 weeks and I will never buy a different type of work shoe. I don't particularly like the look. But I like the fact that my feet are no longer in pain my toes literally used to go numb. And you'll notice that most sizes are sold out all over the United States that alone should tell you something I'm trying to buy some in a different color and I can't find anybody who has them in my size all sold out

Shoes are comfortable, but they run a bit small. I wear a sz 10 & ordered the 10.5-11. My heel is on the very edge of the shoe. I like the style & the ease of the slip on. The next size up isnt in stock, & may be too big, so I'm making do with this pair. I LOVE the offloading design of Alegria shoes & I have 4 pairs in different styles.

I have serious metatarsalgia and these shoes are like walking on a cloud. I've only had them short time so I have no idea about durability or value for money. Currently they are my new favorite shoe; even over my hoka bondi9 (which is the top rated shoe for metatarsalgia.).

These are. Great. They don’t squeak like the last pair I had! They do run slightly small as the info stated.

Very comfortable-straight from the box! I don’t have to “break these in” as they’re super comfy from the get go! Alegría shoes last a long time so it’s worth every penny spent. I had these in my cart for a while and wished I bought them sooner.

I bought the Alegria classic clogs in the brilliant snake color. I was highly impressed when I got them! they are VERY cool and funky, are metallic looking and very unique. I was hoping the inserts would be enough for me to help with my foot pain but they were not. I don't mind this, I knew if they weren't right to help my pain levels in my feet I would just insert my custom orthodic. Most shoes that fit custom orthotics are UGLY but Alegria are not! And I love that they come in so many colors and styles. My issue is that the second day I wore them, I accidentally knocked into an empty plastic paint tray and the finish rubbed off!!! I emailed Alegria and got a pathetic, one line answer to my asking if it was painted on top of the suede. They said it is not, that it is stamped on. Really? I sent another email which was never answered so I called the following day. I was told someone would look into it and call me back, but I never heard from them. I called again and was told it was defective and they would tell me how to take care of exchanging the item. And again, no word from them. Instead of trying to deal with Alegria itself (I only wanted to know what the exact process of the "stamping" of the shoe was so I could determine if it was of good quality and hopefully I wouldn't not have the same issue with a replacement, not only could nobody answer me, they said they'd get back to me twice now and they haven't, on top of ignoring two of my emails now.) I am forced to return my item to Amazon. I wanted to forewarn anyone dealing with Alegria that their customer service is probably the poorest I've ever seen. I will be trying more Alegria shoes but instead will stick to the shiny, patent leather type or suede without this "stamping" process, what ever it is. I guess not even the employees understand this "stamping" process. To be fair, I did speak to a customer who was buying Alegria in a store and she said her patent leather type shoe looks as good as new two years later, she was only replacing the inserts. I have rated Alegria one star due to the customer service issues (which is huge) and I'm so disappointed that this lovely, thick soft cushion did not have enough arch support to help with my foot pain. And I was extremely disappointed to see the finish rub off when knocking into a piece of plastic. Certainly a defect or a serious quality issue.

The Debra Loafer’s are beautiful - the pattern is amazing (looks exactly like the picture) and although they are always snug and stiff to start, they become the most comfortable shoes around. They fit like the other Alegria size 40 on my feet, which are on the wider side. You won’t be disappointed with these shoes!

they fit a bit on a large size, if you between sizes choose smaller/ great shoe, I have 6 pairs of same brand different colors. Get compliments all the time

I had wanted to return as the shoe width was a little too wide for my feet. The customer service wasn’t very responsible by telling me not to worry about the width. I had said I wanted a slim one. But this guy went to just picked a medium width.Not nice really. My shoe is ok except for the extra width. This made my walking a little loose. Didn’t return because it was a little soiled after trying them on.

Well made and comfortable. Glad I ordered them.
