The Rabbit Listened

This book is on repeat in our house. As a mom to a toddler, this was such a great buy. The story follows a child named Taylor who experiences something upsetting, and different animals try to help in their own ways. What stands out most is the message about simply being there and listening, which is something both kids and adults can take away from it. The illustrations are sweet and calming, and the story is easy for little ones to follow while still having a meaningful message. It’s one of those books that actually sticks with you, and I love having it in our rotation. Definitely recommend for toddlers and young kids.

This might just be my favorite children’s book of all time. The message is incredible, the simple yet beautiful illustrations are perfect and my kids love it! It is one of my favorite books to gift.

This is such a sweet children's book! I bought it for a friend's child, but I read through it myself and I think it's a great lesson presently in a perfect, simple manner. The art is also very simple but cute.

I think it's a wonderful book out there to help kids and adults understand the grieving and letting go process in the simplest sense . Often the problem is not the main problem, it's the fact that nobody wants to understand what, when, how you want to something. This book also helps us understand so much abt the importance of just being there and listening, as a friend for others.

The book is absolutely cute, both in its minimal illustrations and its lesson on empathy. It captures that simple, often overlooked truth that we just need someone to sit with us and listen. ​I plan to start reading this to to my baby boy very soon and often. I want these words and this kindness to be among the first stories he grows up hearing. Highly recommended for parents who want to raise compassionate little beings!

So beautiful and simple, uncluttered pages with a great message. A favourite at bedtime, and amazingly as adults we're not sick of it either.
