Function: Specially designed to separate the brake servo push rod from brake pedalWide Application: Compatible with Audi A4, Compatible with VW Bora (1998-2008), Compatible with VW Beetle and moreOEM Equivalent Part Number: T10006a. This tool is designed and manufactured to OEM standards for great utility and will not damage your brake parts Review: The tool works - I tried using picks and screw drivers to separate the booster shaft from brake pedal assembly, but I didn't want to break the plastic. I got the tool in a day and was able to replace the brake booster on this Audi. It's worth getting the tool Review: This tool will save you a bunch of time and headaches - I've tried a number of different "hack" methods of removing the booster plunger from the pedal and this is vastly superior to any of them. The best advice I can give is to momentarily get a view of the retainer from behind the pedal, and place the tool with the short ends of the fork pressed against the retainer. Now you know the placement and angle, switch around to face the pedal, place the tool, guiding it into the same position then pull firmly straight back on the handle. The tool will pull in about half an inch, then pull the pedal rearward. It took less than 2 minutes using this method.

Works the way it should
Quickly and easily removes the booster from the brake pedal. A small telescoping mirror helps with this. Several minute job tops with both.

Worked on my 04 Jetta
Replaced brake booster on an 04 TDI Jetta. Watched a video on how to use it. Took no time once I did it right.

Not good for 2008 vw beetle.
This did not work on a 2008 vw beetle. The steering column is in the way. Ended up having to cut a section off and weld back together.
