Wound Dressing (4x7) (by The Each) by Mepitel

This is an outstanding breakthrough in wound care. I suffered a 2-inch square deep skin tear on my leg. The doctor applied a Mepitel dressing, which covered the wound and clung to my skin for more than a week. Then I bought another one and used it for two more weeks. It did not come off even when I washed the area in the shower. But it peeled off easily without pulling up the flap of torn skin. And there was no pain during the healing. Wonderful product!

Being a woundcare provider as a profession, i used this to cover wounds that needed to breathe and dry out naturally. I call it superskin. I cover the wound when it was almost healed, instructed the patient to just leave it on (the backing has a self adhesive way of sticking onto clean skin). You can take showers with it and do daily tasks with it on. As long as you dont brush it hard or scape up against something, it will stay. Good product.

Mepitel is a great cover for wounds. It keeps the wound clean and doesn't stick to it.

This is what the surgeon used so the bandages would not stick to the wound while healing. It is very pricey for 1 sheet, but you cut what you need every time you change the bandage. If you have a large would I would not suggest unless you want to order MANY sheets. It is not reusable.
