Essential Oils: Ancient Medicine

Excellent book! I recommend it to anyone who is into herbs and natural remedies. The book is comprehensive and accurate, very well structured and covers lots of aspects of using essential oils safely. Very easy to read and to access information, I particularly liked the chapter about the different oils and their benefits and the recipes recommended at the end of the book. Very practical. It's all you need to start using essential oils safely and efficiently. Dr. Axe and his team always provide accurate information and I often go to his website for further information. The book has high quality images and paper, overall stylish design. The price is very good considering the high quality paper and the number of pages. I highly recommend it!

I was already a fan of Dr Axe before I purchased the book. This is a fantastic colour reference book that is easy to use and well worth the price. I had already known about some of the great uses of essential oils but this book gives you the benefits and also tells you about the history of the oil which I find very interesting. My 8 year old daughter loves the book too and has been reading up on different oils and had a go at making the home remedies.

I watched the author on tv and how he had Crohns disease, arthritis and had cancer as well as other illnesses that doctors could not cure. My mother has Crohns disease due to the surgen cutting her bowel by mistake and Diverticulitis disease and rheumatoid arthritis as well as other uncurable illnesses. I was born with Hirchsprung's Disease and had gangrene off my bowel at birth uncurable, so I cannot wait to see how these ancient medicines help my bowel or even improve it a bit. I am very happy because if this author can cure himself with the Holy Bible and ancient medicine then you know it will help you. I will do a update on my mother’s health and my bowel.

This is a really good book: lots of useful information on a great number of essential oils - all I could possible want as a novice. BUT the Kindle version is dreadful: words on weird lines, paragraphs mashed up. Not sure if Josh or his publishing company will read this review: but can you resolve this problem since I DO want the kindle version so I won't be returning it, but the version I have is garbled in places (especially in the section on the individual oils). Anyhow, aside from that, I very much recommend this excellent compendium.

I was really looking forward to this book and I do think that it is full of good sound information but for me as a non believer there were far too many bible scriptures, I just skipped over them as i have no interest in god at all.

A well written book, very comprehensive, easy to navigate and find what you are interested in, this is a great book to have if you're into aromatherapy. Great recipes as well !

Beautiful colourful aromatherapy book with simple well documented information on each oil plus safety and benefits. Love the historical reference to the oils especially references to Bible texts as it puts everything into prospective in terms of history and Bible. I would highly recommend this book.

Great book for anyone looking to take a more naturalist approach to daily living, with natural remedies for ailments (for those who don't like turning to big pharma drugs) to alternative cleaning products to avoid fumes and xeno-estrogens from mainstream products. I have had personal success with the information the book provided with health conditions i have had for years with numerous things prescribed by doctors never working, within 1 week it cleared up fully and i haven't experienced it since. i recommend it, if not for you, for a family member, i have gifted this to 2 people since!
