SuperPrep is our most comprehensive LSAT preparation book. It includes: 3 complete PrepTests a guide to LSAT logic explanations for every item in all 3 tests (December 2010, June 2011, and a previously undisclosed LSAT) sample Comparative Reading questions and explanations Review: Heavy stuff, good stuff - Heavy stuff, good stuff Review: Useful, but only as a supplement - The Superprep is LSAC's official guide to the LSAC. It's notable for being the only source of official explanations for LSAT questions. So far so good. Learn about the test and get questions explained by the testmakers themselves. What's not to like? Unfortunately, the explanations are as complex as the questions themselves, if not more so. They often don't help, unless you already understand the questions. The reading comprehension guide is good. The logic games guides has very little diagramming advice, which makes it somewhat impractical. The Logic games and the logical reasoning guides are both rather theoretical. One useful feature is difficulty rating for the questions. There are three full tests included, and each question is rated according to how hard it is. Unfortunately, the tests themselves are rather old. This book is useful to look through, if only for the insight into the minds of the test takers. But i would not get it unless you have money and time to spare from more important books such as the official preptests. The most important books you can get are the books of official preptests, such as LSATs 52-61 and LSATs 29-38: 10 New Actual, Official LSAT Preptests with Comparative Reading (Lsat Series) Next 10 Actual Official Lsat Preptests (Lsat Series) You should also get LSATs 62-69, which are the most recent tests at the time of this review. Must have
I started this book after having completed all the PowerScore LSAT bibles and it was a good starting point to "try out" the PS techniques on real lsat questions. This book has 3 prep tests along w/ explanations and answers. After PowerScores great info I felt that the tips section of this book was lacking but not a waste of time, simply not in depth enough for me. This is a good practice book and I truly appreciated that the question difficulty was noted, which helped me better gauge my level of understanding. Must have!
