It didn't work right away. I entered the first code that came with the remote and bingo it worked. I'm a happy camper.

My grandpa is pretty old school and needed a remote for his cube shaped TV and VCR. Codes worked great for the VCR and TV even though both devices are probably 15-20 years old. Blew my mind! Make sure to read the instructions on how to program. Don't accidentally throw them away like I did. However, there is a manual online.

Geat value for the money, easy to to program

I bought this universal remote to use on an old DVD player that had no external buttons to select play, stop ect. The remote unit quickly found the code to turn my DVD player on an off and start a movie but I couldn't scroll through the scenes or play "behind the scenes" features. Couldn't A/B a scene to zoom in, none of that stuff. But for the price, I can't bitch too much. Delivery time was Awesome, thanks Amazon

Okay so I got this remote to navigate the functions of a DVD player I had that I could only watch DVD’s from start to finish, I thought let me buy a small universal one so I could nativage screens and see other movies on discs with multiple films. When I received this remote I found like others, that there was no navigation pad, no arrows, no way to move my selector around on the screen. It took me a while but I figured Out that there is in fact a way to navigate your DVD’s main menu. The MENU button will be your home button to get back to the DVD’s main menu On any day there are a series of options like play from start, scene selections, deleted scenes and extras etc. consider that they are all numbered from left to right 1-9 It’s pretty easy at that point, you press the number that corresponds to your selection, and you can use the channel UP And DOWN to navigate the subsequent option screens, always keeping in mind MENU will take you back to the root of you need to restart. All in all a good little remote for what it’s function is, just a little dated technology but still just as effective

It’s becoming hard to find these remotes. They used to be in every store, but not anymore. It worked exactly as we hoped to control an old vcr. We’re happy to have this remote. Highly recommend for someone needing a programmable remote.

I got this because it has a "sleep" timer. The cable companies have stopped offering this feature! I like to fall asleep with the TV on, but have it turn off on its own. Easy buttons Not at all complicated.

I could turn the tv on and off, but would not change channels or adjust the sound. I sent it back
