I have been using the BRITA MAXTRA Pure Performance cartridges for a while now, and the difference is night and day. Tap water in my area usually has a strong chlorine smell, but after running it through this filter, the water tastes incredibly clean and fresh.What I love most is that it effectively reduces limescale, meaning my electric kettle stays completely clean with no white residue anymore. Knowing that it also filters out hidden impurities like PFAS and pesticides gives me great peace of mind for my family's health.It is very easy to install, fits perfectly, and each cartridge lasts for a long time. It is definitely worth the money and way better than buying single-use plastic water bottles. Highly recommended!

Definitely the way to go. Excellent quality filter. I wont be going back to the cylindrical filters. Get the 6 pack is my advice. Water taste and cleanliness is super.

Water still taste funny after filtered

Update - forgot to mention how good the water tastes filtered through this Brita system. My daughter refills her huge water bottle everyday with this filtered water rather than the cold, filtered water from the fridge. The size, ease of installation and use, filter quality and amount of water flow makes this Brita system work so well. Our area is terrible for limestone in the water. Doesn’t hurt the taste but does make havoc on your coffee makers and kettles. Doesn’t matter if electric or manual as the minerals settle in and ruin the insides. Only frequent, regular cleaning keeps the limestone from destroying them. Since using these filters with this Brita system, I haven’t had to clean our electric coffee maker at all. Same with our electric kettle.

They are compact (measuring about 5.7 x 10 x 7.6 cm) and very lightweight at just 0.11 kg each. They come in the standard white plastic casing. Because they are so small and light, storing the other five cartridges in the kitchen cupboard takes up virtually no space until you need them. ​Ease of Use: They are incredibly straightforward to swap out. If you've never used them before, it's virtually foolproof: just submerge the new filter in water to get the air bubbles out, push it firmly into the funnel of your jug until it clicks, and run a couple of cycles of water through it before drinking. ​Value for Money: Based on my experience and reading other reviews, the ongoing cost of replacing water filters every 4 weeks can add up. However, buying this 6-pack definitely softens the blow and provides excellent long-term value. You are set for roughly half a year! It’s also significantly cheaper than buying bottled water, and much better for the environment. ​Pros: ​Improved Taste: It noticeably removes chlorine, impurities, and limescale. Yes. If you live in a hard water area, you will immediately notice a reduction in limescale build-up in your kettle. ​Are they compatible with older jugs? Yes, they fit perfectly into standard BRITA jugs (like the Marella or Aluna) just like previous standard Maxtra versions did. ​Overall, I highly recommend this 6-pack. If you want consistently clean, great-tasting water with zero fuss, you can't go wrong with these.
