It doesn't come with brass roller but a plastic one as mentioned in few reviews, so I suppose this is the new standard. Said that, after installation it doesn't seem to have any negative impact by having a plastic roller. Easy to install and it comes with all the screws that are needed as well. It is easy to adjust as well, but there are no instructions. So, for reference: - fit the lock in - insert a screwdriver in the roller slit - push it fully into the lock - turn it left (+) or right (-) if you want it more or less exposed

I bought this door catch after the conventional catch mechanism seized and I was trapped in my bathroom at 4.30 in the morning. (Escaped out of the window and across the garage roof in my jim-jams, but that's another story!) A roller catch means this can never happen again. This item was simple to fit and works perfectly. There are no adjustment instructions but you just push the roller into the mechanism and rotate it either way using a screwdriver inserted into the slit on the roller itself. I have already ordered another of these for the downstairs toilet. It was promptly delivered, reasonably priced and solved my problem! EDIT: The second one arrived today and it was identical, EXCEPT the roller was white plastic rather than metal, like the first one. So, not as pictured. I don't know whether the one with the white plastic roller will be less durable or not - but I know metal is stronger than plastic, so.... However, I haven't changed my 5 stars rating as I have no real basis to know on durability.

OK then it seems ok like I said and I managed to fit it in place of a broken part although the plate width of this was too small but that was my fault for not checking dimensions and I made it work anyway. Other things to mention is that the actual roller ball part is made of plastic or nylon and not a metal like brass as is pictured in the product pictures and I didn`t see anything on it that made it adjustable in anyway as mentioned too although I got it to do the job and so 3 stars from me overall

Good quality replacement for a similar item. Fitted easily and works well

This was easy to fix into the existing holes left by the previous latch. The advantage of these is that they do not get stuck like a conventional catch does. I used it on the cupboard door where our old boiler used to be. It is now a nice, easy to use cupboard.
