Cyber Acoustics CA-2890PRO USB and Bluetooth Speaker Bar, 20W, Speakerphone

I rarely write reviews, but this product absolutely deserves one. I bought the Cyber Acoustics CA-2890PRO, and after several hours of testing it with Zoom, ChatGPT Voice, Perplexity, YouTube, phone calls, and music playback, I'm honestly amazed at what you get for around $40. The sound quality is outstanding. It's much louder than I expected, with clear, rich audio that completely replaced my monitor speakers. I mainly listen to podcasts, YouTube, and music, and I'm genuinely enjoying listening to music on this speaker. It has more than enough volume for my home office, and the sound is clean and surprisingly full. The microphone is equally impressive. During my testing, I was able to walk about 8 feet away and continue speaking in a normal voice. It still picked me up clearly, even with a fan running in the room. Voice conversations felt natural, and I had no problems holding two-way conversations during Zoom meetings, phone calls, or while using ChatGPT Voice and Perplexity. I also considered much more expensive speakerphones, including the Dell SP3022, Dell SP325, and the Jabra Speak2 40. After using the CA-2890PRO, I honestly don't regret my decision at all. For my needs, it performs far above its price and easily competes with products in the $80 to $120+ range. One thing worth mentioning is the monitor clip. My monitor has a curved back, so I am able to mount it—but honestly, that wasn't my intention anyway. I simply placed it on my desk underneath my monitors, and it fits perfectly without taking up much space. In fact, I prefer it there because it keeps my desk looking clean while still projecting excellent sound. Setup was truly plug-and-play, and using the USB-C connection gives it plenty of power. This is one of those rare products that makes you wonder why you'd spend two or three times as much on something else. Excellent speakers, an excellent microphone, outstanding value, and easily one of the best tech purchases I've made this year. Highly recommended!

It is great as long as you keep the expectations realistic. It is a $40 short sound bar. It sounds as small as it is, like almost no stereo and minimum bass. However it attaches to the bottom of my monitor perfectly, saving precious desk space. What audio it delivers is clear and crisp. I am not an audiophile and don't listen to music with it. I wouldn't mind better quality for a higher price, but the most important quality for me is space saving and this little speaker delivers.

works really well, haven't had a single issue with sound since plugging it in and starting to use it - no static or crinkle noises or anything weird. really love the plug and play factor and the fact it doesn't need an outlet (my surge protector is thankful). did not anticipate the gripper/clipper to be less ranged, so it doesn't quite fit on my monitor due to this, but it sits just fine on the lil clippy bit and isn't large or ugly so it's all good 😊 haven't tried the Bluetooth aspect but I expect it to work just like normal.

For the price, this is an excellent little computer speaker/microphone for conference calls and enhanced laptop sounds. It’s not going to compare with premium computer speakers for music and larger sound, but it’s a great little portable option for improving sound on a work computer and using with video calls. When comparing with a true professional conference speaker, this speaker plays stereo output with just a hint of bass, which makes it sound superior to a standard conference speaker. It’s easy to use, but be sure to read the included manual to learn the features. For the overall value of this speaker, I’d certainly buy it again. I bought this so I’d have a decent speakerphone setup when I work remotely. I liked it enough that I also bring it to work and use it there too.

Sounds great. Clips onto the bottom of the monitor or anywhere else without loosening or falling off. I like it. But the reason I’m docking it a star is because of one thing. Due to the lack of Bluetooth controls/security, someone keeps connecting to the speaker. I’ve heard “Hey There, Delilah” at 2am one too many times, dammit. Other than that, it’s solid. Definitely worth the money. I just wish people couldn’t connect to my speaker while it’s connected to my pc. If the manufacturers see this, can you please find a way to fix the issue with future buyers?

I’m really impressed with this speaker bar. The setup is quick and easy, whether you use USB or Bluetooth. The sound is clear, balanced, and more than enough for everyday use like music, videos, or calls. It doesn’t take up much space, which is a big plus for a clean setup. The controls are simple and responsive. No real complaints here. It does exactly what I need it to do. Solid choice if you want better sound without the hassle.

I bought this speaker systems to replace an old system that finally died. I liked the compactness of the speakers and the fact that it clipped to my monitor. The sound was adequate and it did have a microphone. After about 2 weeks of use the speaker started to audible ping, much like the sound that occurs when a key is stuck. After going through some problem solving, determined that it was the speaker system and decided to return them and go in a different direction, doing more research this time around.

Connecting to my computer was great, with perfect volume controls. However, when using the option for bluetooth to my phone, the minimum volume the speaker will set to is extremely loud. I've tried adjusting program settings for the speaker through my phone with no luck so will be returning for a different brand. For reference, The minimum volume level when connected to bluetook is louder than what my computer normally would output as a maxium from the built in speakers.

C'est du lourd, au sens propre et figuré. Son excellent. Parfaitement pris en compte avec Boom3D surMacBook Pro 16". ça me permet de palier des petits soucis d'audition en valorisant la voix des personnages lors du visionnement des films. J'avais une Logitech Z205. Bien, mais moins puissante, vibrant parfois : je devais filtres les basses. BT : necessite l'utilisation de l'USB pour alimenter. J'ai essayé BT avec l'USB de l'ordi servant d'alim. Pas de latence. Pas essayé la fonction téléphone. Mais je ne ai pas acheté la CA-2890PRO pour cela. Je l'ai utilise depuis peu. Mais je n'ai pas l'impression d'un objet qui ne tiendra pas. Astuce : Montée en dessus de l'écran, si je visionne couché, elle le rabat car, c'est effectivement du lourd. La solution semble la poser juste sur mes larges pec', avant l'ordi tenu sur la tablette de choc'... C'est mieux que l'inverse car le son n'a pas d'écran faisant écran ! Encore mieux, la placer en appui pec', l'ordi avancé pour la caler et avoir l'arrière dégagé pour les basses... Dommage : mode d'emploi en anglais. Je propose juste la traduction pour les boutons...

Sound and mic is fine, I got this connected with my monitor, thinking Speaker will output sound from all source, I connected my PS5 and it fails to output any sound, it only works with by macbook.

Worth paying the extra buck for the quality of this speaker. I recommend it over the cheaper options unless you are not concerned about sound quality.

My laptop audio was way too quiet even on full volume. With this speaker I now get much better audio, the tone is richer and deeper (and louder!). I clipped it to the top of my laptop screen and it’s perfect. Very happy with it
