Bad idea on using a 14.4v battery with the same pinout as the 7.2v batteries
Years ago, I reviewed this unit on a site which seems to be no longer around. Biggest problem: This unit uses a 14.4v battery, but the pin out for the battery is EXACTLY THE SAME PINOUTs as the 7.2v (NPF) batteries used in their 128 and 256 LED lights. That's not a good idea. If you plug the 7.2v battery into the 14.4v 504 LED, what happens? If you plug this 14.4v battery into a 7.2v 128 or 256 LED, or worse yet into some other and much more $$$ piece of equipment (Atomos recording devices, for example), what happens? Other points (1) the light itself works fine, and has about a 5.5 stop range (2) fully dimmed it is NOT turned off (its about 10% of the full lumens, iirc). (3) I have used their 256 and 128 LED's for years... the only problem I had was the potentiometers had to be cleaned after 2 years or so when they stopped dimming as much and/or they flickered when they dimmed.
