Hi, this is a colourful and melodic score to accompany the Far Cry 4 game. The game itself is so vast and long-winded that it is not surprising that it necessitated a 2 disc accompanying CD soundtrack. It is rich and detailed though hardly a classic, you can hardly dance to it! And how many of us would make a bee-line for a comfortable deck chair to listen away the hours on a summer evening to the Far Cry 4 soundtrack. Though games companies would look for any excuse to make more money so it's hardly surprising. A good game with a memorable villain and this reviewer has fond memories of this particular game, so that when I finished playing I genuinely missed travelling back to Kyrat every other evening. Again, a good soundtrack but does not linger long in the memory as per the Halo soundtrack does.

Probably this double-cd set would be worth 4-stars if it had all the music in the game in it; but in fact at least one of the tracks I most wanted was not on there (the zany mad music from the Yogi missions - I have since managed to get it: Akasha 'Hippy Sh*t'). Anyway, the album as a whole is enjoyable; but there is little to make any particular track stand out. I don't think that I would want to just listen to this; but as an ambient music source while I work it is characterful while not unduly imposing.

A fantastic pressing of a fantastic soundtrack. With a beautiful gatefold and coloured vinyls, the only thing that is holding it back is how they shoved two disc into one slot instead of creating a triple bound folder.
