My Turtle Is Obsessed, But There’s One Downside
I recently switched to ReptoTreat Gammarus Shrimp after trying other turtle foods, and I’m seriously impressed with how much my turtle loves it. I used to feed him a small, round pellet food I got from Petco, but he had trouble spotting and eating those. These shrimp, on the other hand, are visibly larger, more natural-looking, and instantly caught his attention. He’s now absolutely obsessed—feeding time has never been easier. These dried shrimp are a high-protein, natural treat that seem to boost his energy and appetite. It’s been a noticeable improvement in both behavior and feeding enthusiasm. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the tiny fragments mixed in the package. There are a lot of very small particles that break apart in the water and cloud up the tank quickly. This means more frequent cleaning and extra work for the filter. If the manufacturer could reduce or sift out these small bits, this would be a perfect product. Overall, if you’re looking for a natural, protein-rich shrimp treat that turtles go crazy for, this is a great choice—just be ready to stay on top of tank maintenance.

Turtle LOVED this. Had no appetite for a while. But these did the trick. Not saying this is the case for all turtles who have lost their appetite, but it did for mine, haha!

Mi tortuga Taquito llego a mi casa hace unos días, sin embargo no comía y me decían que era por el cambio de habitad. Al preocuparme y no encontrar solución decidí comprar estos camarones y vaya que le encantaron! Lo uso como suplemento de su comida normal y ha estado comiendo de maravilla. De vez en cuando encuentro trozos de camarón en el agua por lo cual Taquito se lleva su comida incluso al nadar.

Es obvio que es tetra y es caro. Es una delicia para mis hijas tortugas, pero trae poco y no dura mucho. Aunque la calidad vale la pena.
