This gets the job done, why go to Ikea and get this same item for double the price? That's crazy especially in this economic climate. I purchased the sage color and it's too cute. I have gotten so many compliments on it. The instructions were quite easy. One person can complete this, but if you have and extra person to help things move along quicker. Pretty sturdy but if you want to reinforce it, there is nothing a bit of clear drying Gorilla glue can't fix. The material is basically the same type of wood you would encounter at Ikea. Holds the organization cubes from either Ikea or Target as well.

This is very well made and easy to put together. I did need my husband to help with the last side...putting in the large screws but we got it done. Using this to organize my sewing room. It is heavy in the box, but we carried each section into the house separately and then I put it together in my room. All the directions were clear, and the hardware was all marked. Thank you for a nice product. One thought would be to make the dowels a little bit longer, so they stay into each section better.

Product Quality Complaint – Cubicle Bookshelf This cubicle bookshelf was a very significant disappointment. Given the quality and construction issues we encountered, I believe the product is not adequately designed or manufactured to withstand normal assembly and use. It took three people to assemble the bookshelf—a construction worker, a sign builder, and myself. I mention this because both men were experienced and skilled in construction, so the difficulties we encountered cannot reasonably be attributed to a lack of assembly experience. When the bookshelf arrived, several of the board corners were already damaged and crushed. Since I intended to use the unit primarily for storage, I initially decided to overlook the cosmetic damage. However, the problems became much more serious during assembly. The fiberboard/chipboard repeatedly broke and crumbled into small pieces when screws and metal hardware were inserted. The hardware did not fit properly into the pre-drilled holes, which caused additional damage to the boards. In addition, the holes on three of the boards did not line up properly, making assembly even more difficult. Once the bookshelf was finally assembled, the finished unit was extremely weak and unstable and leaned noticeably. In order to make it structurally sound enough to use, we were forced to attach a large piece of wood to the back to provide additional support. This should not have been necessary for a properly manufactured bookshelf. Throughout the assembly process, I repeatedly stated that I wanted to return the product. Unfortunately, by that point, attempting to disassemble the bookshelf and somehow fit all of the damaged and compromised pieces back into the original packaging seemed nearly impossible. In retrospect, I deeply regret not returning it. A bookshelf should not require experienced construction professionals to modify and reinforce it simply to make it stable and usable. Overall, the product arrived damaged, was extremely difficult to assemble due to poor manufacturing tolerances and weak materials, and ultimately required additional structural reinforcement. I am very disappointed with the quality of this product and do not believe it meets reasonable expectations for a functional, properly manufactured bookshelf.

This was a great buy. Very sturdy and good quality. All the holes lined up as it was being put together. Easy to assemble and good purchase. Fits larger folding wooden baskets. Looks great in our den.

I would’ve given a 5 star review if they would include an extra dowel or two. The dowels are not very strong and while putting this together one broke. I had to go and find a replacement before I could finish putting it together. That said, it was easy to assemble and looks good. I would purchase again if I needed another.

These are solid, easy to put together and I appreciate the larger cube area. Once together they are very sturdy. I bought this 4 cube and two 2 cube units to accommodate my limited space in a closet. They hold everything I need perfectly and by having three separate pieces I can arrange them how it works for me. I also really like the color. Not the same old boring brown or white.

I was a little skeptical to buy this shelf since quite a few reviews said how flimsy it was and they broke most the wood dowels while assembling and that it wasn't worth buying. Well I bought it anyway cuz I needed something to keep my sons toys organized AND I LOVE THIS SHELF!! me and my husband assembled it together took maybe 20 minutes no dowels broke or anything els for that matter we assembled it completely laying down then picked it up and moved it to my sons room no problem it comes with little brackets to attach it to the wall I found the studs in the wall and attached it properly. It does not sway at all now and it wont fall on my kid 10/10 recommend it can hold a lot of stuff and looks nice its a win in my book! My bins with the clear side are from Walmart but Amazon does have similar ones :)

DON'T BUY!!! I purchased one of these the 16 cubbies shelves and you'd think that big they'd make it sturdy right. Wrong the boards out of the box had broken corners and chips and cracks running through the lengths of the boards. I followed the instructions and on instruction 2 where you put the wooden peg tabs in the C boards yea pushing those in by hand (no hammer or tool just basic hand pressure) was causing the boards to crack more and deforming the shelf pieces. Then the next step tells you to assemble part C to the next the longer board. So I'm assembling them on the ground because I'm assuming friction fit is what will potentially hold this together because if it's installed vertically it's going to fall apart at this point they are so weak. So I'm installing these flat on the ground and even the pushing the pegs through by hand carefully and again is causing more cracks in the particle board. Worse yet the finish when you slide the wood piece over the other piece under it it is scuffing the finish. So I have 3 C pieces (the smaller pieces) assembled on the long board I turn to get the next C piece for the next layer. The 3 pieces on the long board collapsed and cut my foot open because I'm standing right next to it trying to hold it while assembling it because it's falling apart as I try to keep going, even the pegs are weak. So the particle board is not stable and you can't even assemble it. I contacted Amazon and they have told me to contact the manufacturer and I'm still awaiting the email back (sent the email per Amazons instructions yesterday) about returning and refunding so I can go elsewhere because this is not a useable shelf when it can't even get assembled. I will update when I get word on if they will refund me or what happens but as of now I have a stack of useless particle board that can never be a shelf for my $150 + out of pocket and awaiting resolution. So yea don't but this
