They can be worn over socks or stockings or even bare feet. Because of the velcro wrap its size changes to whatever you need. Be careful, though, not to snag the stockings with the velcro. These are wonderful for curing plantar fasciitis. I keep wearing mine to prevent it from coming back. Good luck! **Q: Does anybody know if these are the same as the one that came in the yellow box? It’s the same brand and says basically the same info** A: I believe it is as I have both as well. **Q: Will they work for a child's feet?** A: Depends on how small. They are adjustable , Mine are for a woman and would fit any foot from 6 to 7 inches long (not size) probably ok for a child 10 or older. They are around 3 to 3.5 inched wide. I wear mine with the highest insert. I suggest keeping it in basket and buying it on sale. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely worth trying *by E***N on 28 December 2015* I have slightly flat arches and after a six mile walk yesterday my feet were really aching and my right big toe joint and knee were hurting. Today I put these supports on and walked the same distance in my trainers, following instructions and changing out of them after three hours wearing. My feet feel quite exercised, but hey, no toe or knee pain. So I think the arch supports have held my feet and the rest of my body in a much better position. Probably best worn in trainers which can be adjusted, or other fairly generous shoes as these supports are thicker than socks. I am definitely going to keep wearing these. I like the fact that you can choose the level of support - by deciding whether to add the extra inserts. And I like the fact they didn't slip when I walked several miles today.
