Eufy security S300 eufyCam 3C 2-Cam Kit Security Camera Outdoor Wireless, 4K Camera
I’ve been using the eufy Security S300 eufyCam 3C for 4- 6 months now, and it has exceeded my expectations. The 4K resolution provides crystal-clear video quality, even at night, thanks to the color night vision and built-in spotlight. The face recognition AI is a great feature, helping to filter alerts based on known individuals. Pros: ✅ 4K Ultra HD Clarity: Sharp, detailed video that captures every detail. ✅ No Monthly Fees: Local storage (expandable up to 16TB!) means no cloud subscription is required. ✅ Wireless & Easy to Install: Hassle-free setup with a strong battery life. ✅ AI-Powered Face Recognition: Reduces false alerts by recognizing familiar faces. ✅ Spotlight & Color Night Vision: Ensures excellent visibility even in low-light conditions. Cons: ❌ None My Final Verdict: This is a top quality wireless security camera system with stunning 4K quality, AI features, and no hidden fees. If you’re looking for a smart, reliable, and cost-effective security solution, the eufyCam 3C is definitely worth considering!

Good system
Works well, easy set up and the battery has a good life, think I've charged them once since I bought them. Picture quality is good. Only negative is the slight delay in recording.

Easy installation and great quality.
Excellent so far. This camera package far surpasses my previous set up. I won't mention their name but they charge a subscription. This kit was easy to install and set up using the Eufy Security App, took minutes. The notification response time has been excellent and images also. Time will tell how long the batteries last, but that'll be down to how much usage and weather conditions I guess. Don't keep paying subscription charges for cloud based systems, get a homebase with a hard drive.

Robust Security with Local Storage & Smart Features
I originally opted for Eufy's ecosystem to avoid those frustrating monthly subscriptions and keep my security data stored locally, and these eufyCam 3C cameras, combined with the HomeBase 3, really deliver on that. I've put a 1TB SSD into the HomeBase, which means I've got loads of storage for all four of my Eufy cameras – these two 3Cs, plus my E340 doorbell and S350 indoor camera. There's even scope to add more down the line, maybe to keep an eye on the pets! I've got one 3C covering the garden and the other watching the driveway down the side of the house. That driveway camera gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing our cars are protected. It's also super handy for seeing when deliveries get left down the side when we're out, especially since they often forget to leave a note. Battery life on these cameras has been excellent; I barely ever have to charge them. WiFi connectivity is quite good considering both cameras are outside and get strong signal strength, though nighter is to far from the house. The built-in spotlights are decently bright. They're good enough to give a clear view from the cameras when it's dark, and they definitely act as a solid deterrent for anyone walking by at night. Video quality is sharp both day and night, and the night vision works really well even without the spotlights on. Finally, the smart features are top-notch. You can fine-tune detection for specific things like people, vehicles, or pets, and set the detection range precisely. The AI face tracking is another useful one for getting notifications about friendly faces. Notifications are generally quite fast. All in all, I'm very happy with these cameras – they're a reliable and feature-rich addition to my home security setup, and offer great value for money when you consider the lack of ongoing fees charged by other platforms.

The videos are amazing!
I purchased another brand that only picked people up leaving and never coming- I returned it and ordered this with a view to do the same if its detection was as poor. I need not of worried, these cameras pick you up coming and going. They can identify individuals that are frequent visitors, battery life is great bit I decided to purchase solar panels to charge them. With the solar panels they have maintained their charge (in winter time) the caneras are fantastic. The only complaint I have is the price dropped 7 days after I brought them by £70 - I considered returning them and then buying them at the reduced price but they're very good value for money and worth the extra £70! Buy them and try 1 up, you can return if not impressed

Not Perfect, but Much Better Than My Previous System
I wanted to overcome some key limitations of my previous system (WUUK), namely: - 2k resolution insufficient - Unreliable detection, especially at night - Poor distinction between human and other motion - Base station going offline and needing a reboot to get back After 1 month's use, I'm reasonably confident this 2-cam Eufy system has solved all these issues. The cameras are 4k and battery-powered (no solar), but the battery looks set to last about 6 months which I'm happy with. As an added bonus, the wi-fi signal from the Homebase to the cameras also looks much better than my previous system. One minor gripe is that the app is a space-hogger (~1.5GB in my case). This isn't an issue on my phone but my poor (admittedly old) iPad was struggling for space to start with so I've had to get rid of some stuff to accommodate the app. The biggest disappointment relates to the facial recognition, which was going to be an added bonus for me. The benefit was supposed to be that the system would NOT send notifications for recognised faces. In practice it rarely works because the system sends a notification as soon as it DETECTS a human, and then there's a delay while the AI decides if it RECOGNISES that human. (Eufy tell me the delay is because detection works at a longer distance than recognition.). Many users have complained about this, and Eufy are well aware of it. Several people (myself included) have asked Eufy to include an optional setting to delay the notification a little so it can decide if the face is recognised. I'm hopeful they will do this eventually. Although this is annoying, it wasn't my main reason for buying the system. As yet I've not added a hard drive to expand the on-board 16GB of Homebase storage. In reality there is only about 10GB of storage because the system takes up a big chunk. It looks like I'll run out of space in 4-6 months (at which point new data overwrites the oldest), and I'm happy with that. If you have more than one camera, the AI can stitch together clips from multiple cameras to show the movement of a person. There is again a delay before this composite video appears, but it's quite impressive. Overall I recommend this system.

Very slow detection rate, almost useless.
I have had Eufy cams since the beginning, I got the first batch that was made on Kickstarter in 2018. I was initially impressed with the product, especially the battery life but I soon discovered that there was a delay from the point of detection to the start of recording, This meant that there would be an alert from the camera being triggered but the video footage would be missing the first few seconds - which was plenty of time for someone to get across my property and try the doors on my car before the camera filmed them, ending up with the back of someone as they left the property. This has happened on numerous occasions. I decided to get an upgraded and improved Eufy cam, the S300 3 C. I stayed with Eufy because I figured that they should have improved the response time by now and I like that you don't have to pay any monthly/annual fees. I bought a 1Tb hard drive to expand the memory of the home base. The setup was very straightforward. Out of the box it probably took 15 minutes, but I was already quite familiar with the brand and their setup method. The home hub is connected directly to your router and then your cameras pair with the home hub and the app on your phone. After that you set the field of view that will trigger an event and set the sensitivity. I liked that you could exclude pets, cats foxes etc from setting off the camera. The AI used to identify friends and family is quite impressive. I wore different hats, glasses, etc and the system recognised me every time. Because of the 4k HD the picture quality is superb, even in low light. You also have the option to zoom in on quite a large scale. But, my one and only gripe is still the delay in recording. There are still about 2 secs before it starts to record. From the street to my front door is quite a short distance so a person is at my front door very quickly. The camera can only catch their face if they are taking their time coming across the drive. This probably wouldn't be a problem if my drive was longer and the camera had time to catch someone walking. I had tried fiddling with the sensitivity and the recording area but it doesn't seem to make much difference other than it starts recording every car, person, dog walker etc going past the house. 6 months later the unit is not recording the front of the house camera and occasionally the back garden doesn't record. I've changed the sensitivity settings many times and the trigger area but it makes no difference. I'm now having to reset the homebase unit almost daily, sometimes twice a day. For this much money I expect the device to at least do what it is meant to - record activity, not record and miss most of it or not record at all. Unfortunately I'm out time for the return date. The camera tech is great but the product is appalling. I can see why people use Ring Doorbell Cameras. Save your money people and get something else.

Very good home system
A very easy system to setup and install. It connects seamlessly to your home wireless system - even better if you have a MESH setup with multiple receivers around your home. I had no issues with the eufy app on my iPhone and both my device and my wife’s phone can easily access recordings and view live streaming. The addition of voice control is very useful for deliveries and I did like the ‘stitching’ together feature - which allowed footage to be handed over to the next camera, allowing more of the external house to be covered. Having bought a 512GB SATA 2.5” drive for the HUB device, we’re finding that it’s plenty of capacity for just our two cameras as well.
