Gammeefy JC400 Gen 2 Switch 2 Controller with Hall Effect Joysticks

Exactly what I wanted. This split controller for my switch 2 looks great and feels good to hold/use. It is not exactly like holding my Xbox controller but it is similar. The directions are a bit hard to read and unclear on what some of the buttons are for. It connected wirelessly to my switch 2 without much hassle. It accepted my high power charger without complaint which is awesome. I like that there are lock switches to physically secure my console to the controller. However, you must partially disconnect the controller to access the game cartridge port. As this is a day one review, I'll have to speak on longevity at a later date. Overall i am very happy with my purchase and look forward to playing the new Ocarina of Time with it. P.S. They should make this plug into the switch to charge so thet you only need to use one charging cord during a binge gaming session.

In the past both of my kids had Skull & co protectors for their consoles. At the time I believed they were some of the best protectors however over time I came to realize that all they did was create damage in the joycon rails as both of their consoles were experiencing disconnects. The skull & co protectors were causing too much pressure on the joyscons and ended up ruining the rails. After I realized that I was looking for a protector that would not create such pressure on the joycons. I ordered a few options but quickly returned realizing they would provide no protection as it was just foam. I came across this controlled and although more than I was hoping to pay to replace 2 console protectors I took a chance since it was a single hard piece and it nestled the console inside the grooves preventing any kind of further damage to the rails. I honestly believed it worked just like the joycons. However after receiving I discovered it was wireless and did not use the rails. This was unexpected for me However The wireless feature solved the controller disconnects my boys experienced due to the damage on their rails. The wireless feature however caused another issue for us as they share game purchases on the same account. Airplane mode with these controllers doesn't work the same as it does with joycons (both airplane mode & Bluetooth have to be turned on). It took a little to figure out the situation so they could both play at the same time and till this day they require mom's help but I am so happy with these controllers. They're pretty sturdy and have withstood drops and I no longer have to worry of them putting too much pressure on their joyscons thus damaging their rails which I haven't had to replace since the controller is wireless. Would purchase again if needed.

I had a fairly in depth review all typed out but then I accidentally hit the back button and that seemingly erased it. I don't feel like typing that all up again, so just know that it's good overall with a handful of drawbacks that are nowhere close to being deal breakers at least for me (the carts get stuck in the built in cart holders, so you have to use a good bit of force to pull them out, you can't open the switch 2's actual cart slot when it's docked in this peripheral, the setup and pairing process is sort of annoying, the kickstand isn't as stable as the switch 2's kickstand but still way better than the original switch's kickstand, and you have to charge the peripheral and the actual console separately, unlike the native joycons). Originally I just wanted to show off the rgb lighting effects, since I didn't see any videos from other reviews specifically showcasing it on the starry night/galaxy pattern version I got. I They're not as obviously visible but I still think they look just as cool with the galaxy pattern, and for me it was worth the extra $15 usd it cost at least as of the time I published this because I love purple and galaxy patterns.

A genuine solid product. I was gonna drop a star as i thought i had to pair it every time i booted it up but soon found out you just tap the home button instead of holding to connect/turn the switch on but after finding that qualms with this controller. I was disappointed it didn't connect magnetic but seeing as it has a lock to hold the switch in place my concerns went away. Overall great build quality for the price. Only thing i would criticize is the lack of battery indicator but thats about it.

This full length Switch 2 controller fills your hand when holding, making it easy to hold onto and not have the same kind of strain during longer gaming sessions. Independently powered means it does not drain your Switch 2 device, further extending gameplay unlike similar devices that is powered by the Switch. It has locking buttons on the back, which causes a peg to jut forward and lock the Switch in place to prevent slipping and doesn't cover any USB Ports. I appreciate that the backlit joysticks can also have their lights turned off to further extend gameplay and lower lumination. You can also program two back buttons to act as a single button press or program a macro that will execute a sequence of button presses. The turbo function also works well, which can be enabled for each button independently and has multiple modes (off, turbo on press, or always active). The responsiveness if the joysticks and buttons are great and enhances handheld mode gameplay. It isn't really any kind of case and is really just a controller, so it cannot be docked and has to be removed, which is very easy with the lock switches. If I did have to identify any cons, there are two ones I have encountered. 1. The Blue light on the controller remains lit while on with no dimming. In low light, I find it annoying. Some tape or other methods can fix that up. 2. Even though having its own dedicated power is convenient, it so also an inconvenience when both the controller and device have low battery. It requires having both the controller and Switch plugged in to power, using two different charging adapters.

Not as easy to set up as they make it seem and doesn't stay connected all the time like the joycons would. Other than that it is an ok product
