The minimal documentation (printed on the box) fails even to mention the on/off switch! It took WAY too long to find that tiny power switch, but once we knew it existed, life was a lot easier! It's use is simplicity itself. Write on the board with or without power and you get pale greenish writing or drawing on a black background. I find it utterly amazing that they can make something as useful as this tablet for such an incredibly low price! The size is just right for timely notes you want people to see. It's so thin I can't see how they can even make it! I don't know how long the battery will last, but the ONLY thing the battery is used for is erasing the screen. Nothing else. Use the power switch to turn it on to erase the screen, then turn it off, and you should get years out of a single battery. Leave it on 24/7 and I have no clue how long the battery will last. These tablets are incredibly light, VERY THIN, and somewhat flexible. They are so cheap you can easily replace a broken tablet, but why not just take care of it and use it for many years? The screen is dead black. When you write on it with the stylus (it's not a pen!) yout words are clearly visible. The contrast between the flat black of the screen makes the writing show up well, but there is nothing bright about this tablet. Visibility is in feet, not yards.

I purchased the tablet pads for kids' daily math work. Generally, it works very well and kids love using them. Just sometimes, you need to press cleaning button twice to make the pad be fully cleaned. Maybe that's the battery issue.

Works great! These are a great deal. It's not really bright (it's not supposed to be) and the display clear and precise. We really like them. Good for sketch notes or for quick explainers. Great for kids, my son loves his. It does not emit light so you cannot see in the dark which is good for this application. Great little tool and would make a good gift. We actually use them.
