Bought this adapter to use Makita batteries on an Einhell strimmer.As I already have a Makita charger and batteries it made sense to use an adapter and it works very well.No fuss or nonsense, just clip it in add battery and off you go.Battery life is the same and no noticeable extra weight with the adapter fitted.

If you need an adapter these seem as good as the other ones I have and they do work, enabling one to use cheap brands for lesser used tools or where your battery platform manufacturer doesn't do a tool, for example a nail gun (Makita). Hence I have a few of these, one for Hikoki framing nailer, one for Ryobi rotary tool, and now this for an Einhell band saw.In general be aware that these or any other adapters: - only have 2 connections (+ and -) no communications pin so the battery cannot signal low voltage or overheat to / from the tool -are quite deep relative to normal battery connection so extend the depth of the battery by about 4.5cm. This is important if your tool has a battery compartment like some vacs or mowers, or if the tool is designed to sit flush with the battery, like an SDS drill -generally reverse the direction the battery facesFit is not quite as smooth or reassuring as OEM but not an issue.Given there is really nothing to these, I would like them to be £8 not c£12 but still worth buying.

With all my tools being Dewalt but wanting a Ryobi patio cleaner I thought I would give this adaptor a go to save buying a different battery and charger system. Works perfectly, very secure and well made.

This provides a way of charging a battery and doesn't require anything else, so the battery is good to go.

The fitting of the battery to the adaptor was really really hard. In fact, I thought it was the wrong adaptor initally. However, I pushed it on with some strength. The battery went on and a removing and fitting it eventually eased up. The battery goes on easier but still not great. However, it works !.You can use Bosch blue batteries on Bosch green garden tools :-) This has saved me buying a whole new set of Bosch green batteries and and new charger.
