I needed to drill 16mm diameter, 5cm deep holes in concrete. This looked to be just the ticket, and had good reviews. I don't doubt that other folks have been very happy with it, however the concrete I needed to drill was Hampshire Concrete. Hampshire Concrete is made using Portland cement and Hampshire Aggregate. Hampshire Aggregate is made up of any small bit of rubble, including bits of flint, also known as Hampshire Diamonds, which are like regular diamonds except larger, not as expensive, and MUCH harder. This poor drill bit made very slow progress: 2 hours to drill 5cm into the concrete (stopping every minute to cool the bit and blow away the dust). If you need to drill regular concrete this Bosch bit will probably be fine. If you need to drill Hampshire Concrete be prepared for a long battle. Maybe a diamond drill bit would do the job.

Good quality drill bits from Bosch they were ideal for my cordless Bosch drill drilling into old bricks and they went through without a problem

Works just like a Bosch. Drills clean and smooth and will last years, had Bosch before.

Reviewed March 2021: Been using these to fix a wooden frame to walls made of redbrick and also Cotswold stone, plus a couple of anchor points into a concrete floor, so I've given them a fair workout. They have help up well, being able to deal with all I needed. A wise person once told me, and its been proven by previous experience, that the quality drill bits are important, and heat is the biggest factor in wearing out the tips. It is important to remove dust build up from any masonry drill. So stopping, pulling the bit (and therefore dust) out of the hole, perhaps blowing the dust clear, will really extend the life of a decent bit. I bought a couple of new bits for my project, think I drilled about 40 holes in total, all with the same bit, and there is still some life left in it. I"ve tended by buy Bosch bits because I've had good experiences with them in the past, previously I've used the 'pro range', that has the blue paint in the recesses, but these are equally as good. I'd buy them again.

Fa il suo dovere. Data la lunghezza della punta occorre più attenzione nell'eseguire i fori (ma questo non è colpa della punta ovviamente). Dovendo forare il soffitto attraverso 7 cm di legno la presenza di una guida mi ha sicuramente facilitato il compito.
