Perfect for my bit and horse
I had a horse with a sensitive mouth. This stuff was easy to use. Stays clean and horse really does well with it.

Doesn't hold up to a 'bit fidgeter'
Our mare has a very soft mouth, but she also plays with the bit alot. Pulling it back and biting on it...she's a bit fidgeter. This didn't hold up past one ride. It is good self fusing though...but there just isn't enough of it for the price. Only was able to wrap the bit twice with this. Maybe I put it on too thick? Tried to put it on thick enough to keep her from getting through it but thin enough to not make it too bulky. But even with her 5" double broken oval link snaffle (so not a lot to wrap), just not enough there for the money.

Horses Chew through it easily
Bought this tape for my young horse who has a sensitive mouth. I love the way the tape on the bit made it so much softer for my horse and it definitely works, but I was constantly re-taping it because my horse would chew right through it. Honestly wish it was more durable!

Quick temporary fix
It collects saliva and food debris so you can’t keep it clean unless you retape.
