Bed Bug Thermal Dot Stickers - 21 Pack

Stayed in a hotel that I found out had bed bugs, got these to ensure everything was properly heated to prevent them coming into my home. Easy to read indicator shows when temps have been reached to kill eveything.

Work very well, but do not leave in the sun! We used these to aid in decontaminating all my son's belongings when he was moving out of an apartment in Falls Church, VA. We cleaned out our backyard shed and put his furniture, books, lamps, etc. into the shed, and then used a large kerosene heater to roast the bed bugs. That was about two weeks ago, and so far the results are positive. However, while doing this, we left the stickers out in the sunlight on a 90 degree day (in late May) and they all turned black! Luckily we had used five of them in the first roasting, so we know they work. Four turned black, including one I put inside a stack of books, but one that was beneath some couch pillows remained white. We roasted the couch again, but did not have any more stickers this time, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that we got all the bugs. We really regretted not being able to use the rest, since we could see how helpful they were. The company should write a caution in the instructions about not leaving the stickers out in the sunlight.

A bed bug scare had us washing all of our clothes and linens in hot water, then running them through the dryer. I wasn't entirely sure if our dryer was hot enough to kill all of the bugs and eggs. These stickers were recommended in a bed bug forum (ugh, those stories are enough to give you nightmares!) so I decided to give them a try. They changed color in our dryer, which supposedly indicates the dryer was hot enough. I didn't test the stickers with a thermometer, so it might have been off, but so far it seems to have worked.Die, bed bugs, die!

I put one down in the corner of a ziplock bag and sealed it shut. I ran a cup of hot tap water and put a regular thermometer (from the pharmacy, not a meat or candy thermometer that might be inaccurate at that low of a temp) down in it. The water was 100.2 degrees fahrenheit. I stuck the corner of the bag down in the water to submerge the sticker and it immediately turned black. 100 F isn't hot enough to kill a bed bug so these stickers are worthless. Save your money and your time, these stickers are only giving you a false sense of security.

I THOUGHT IT WAS TO ACTUALLY PUT ON CLOTHES IN DRYER WHEN DEBUGGING

The dots were already black. I stupidly ordered them in the summer where the temperatures were above 110 degrees f. They agreed to take them back. But I gave three stars because they should also know that they shouldn't ship to certain places in the summer.

They work like they are supposed to. Tested my dryer temp with these.

Maybe too expensive, but they work very well!
