Been sealing plastic bags and works with several types of plastic! Takes a bit of trial and error but pretty hard to mess up! Great value and quality especially for the price. Blue is such a pretty color and isn’t too bulky!

I previously bought a different brand and it didn’t work right out of the box. Since it was new, I didn’t feel I should have to try and fix it. What I learned in between while looking for another, you have to watch the voltage output, no they aren’t all the same. Also, this one makes a wider seal. I didn’t know that before. This one has worked like a champ since I bought it and I’ve put it through the paces already. I had to wait a bit longer to get it and it wasn’t the cheapest but I wouldn’t trade it for another one after having using it. Sure simplified my life.

Disappointed with product but excellent customer service from the company!! . Heating element is NOT 12 inches, the exact size is 11.75 inches. This may not seem like a big deal but becomes an issue when you are trying to close 12" bags which is a common size for things like chips. The product otherwise works fantastically well, as long as the item you have is not 12 inches or longer. Also do some TEST runs first. Less heat with more pressure is usually better. Heat setting of 3-4 with some pressure is enough for chips, cereal zip lock bags and other items.

Works better than I thought is heavy duty cast-iron you can fuel in the weight in every bit of quality in the sealer as they claim. And the price is amazing. Find myself stealing everything even think I don’t need to.

We use this sealer more than we thought we would. I use it to seal one pound coffee bags to store coffee. The bags require the heat temp on the higher end. If you plan to use the high heat settings order the wider, heavier duty heat strips that are carried on Amazon. Just make sure you order the correct length. Provided heat strips work fine on lower temp settings.

Arrived and looked well built. After sealing a dozen mylar 1 gal bags, the heat element burned-out. I replaced the element with one provided. Not easy to replace; the screws holding the element are spring loaded to put tension on the heat element which makes them retract into the medal frame. The bottom has to be removed to push the screw-well into the open (then the handle spring fell out.) After replacing the heat element, the light would come on, it would hum, but no heat, no seal. Check the replaced heat element; it was still intact. Returned for credit. Box states money back guarantee for 30 days; thankfully. Amazon very easy to return on-line. PS: Wife's hair straightener worked great.
