The front compartment is slightly smaller, so the passport fits snugly, tucked under the zipper flap. The main compartment is taller and wider - plenty of room. **Q: What are the dimensions of the larger pocket? Length and height?** A: 10" wide and 4 1/2 " tall. **Q: Can the elastic be threaded through belt loops and used like a belt? Thanks** A: It's possible, but the belt shouldn't be expected to hold up your pants. The belt is very thin and strechy so it can be hidden underneath your clothing. Also the buckle didn't seem very secure. **Q: does it protect credit cards and key fobs?** A: It can hold the both but I've not seen any protective medium layered in fabric.
