Mounting Shaft and Kneading Blade to fit Panasonic SD206, 251, 252, 253

I like the product now but it took time to bed in. My first two attempts at making bread with this replacement was not good but now it seems much better.

Rather expensive so I was prepared to be disappointed, but it worked brilliantly and has improved the operation of our breadmaker, particularly in respect of removing the loaf easily.

Fitting this took less than 5 mins with a cross-head screwdriver, as there are only 3 screws to take out and replace along with a rubber sealing ring. It was extremely easy and now the machine is turning out perfect loaves again. Just remember to check your yeast has not gone 'off' while you were getting around to ordering the part, I solved this by using 1 3/4 tsp instead of 1 1/4. Great value, budget and environment friendly, good for Panasonic that it is not a built-in obselence job. I was initially a bit fed up at having to buy a new paddle into the bargain but now having used it I don't regret it, as it comes out of the bread so cleanly every time which I had forgotten! I also discovered that my husband, who is a diligent washer-up, had been putting the whole tin in the dishwater, which you shouldn't, so the replaced mounting shaft will not be getting wet, this should help it last a long time.

Simple to fit and returned our breadmaker to use. While it was much cheaper than a new pan it still seemed excessively priced to me - but then all these sorts of spares are premium-priced, if they are available at all.

Sloppy fitting and a disappointing product.I purchase it as replacement for a worn bearing and paddle unit, but the new item was worse than the old one.Cheaper to buy a new bread maker in the long run

No problems with this excellent kit - revitalised our 6+ year old breadmaker. Unfortunately there was some mix up with the order which should have arrived by 18 December, but when it didn't and I contacted Amazon about it, another was sent out (by registered post this time, at no extra cost to me) and it did get to us for New Year, though it would have been nice to have it for Christmas!! The actual product is as advertised with all the bits you need for fitting it and fitting it proved simple and straightforward too.

Just the part we needed. Thought I was going to buy a new bread maker.It did the trick and the machine has a new lease of life, end result lovely bread.
