My wife wanted this as a way to speed up her hair drying / styling routine in the morning. Instead of trying to manage using a comb or brush with one hand, and a hot air dryer with the other, this product combines those two concepts into a single item. The end result is a significantly faster and easier way to dry long hair after washing it. My wife loves how well and fast this curling iron / hair drying works. She has used it extensively for the past few months and it's still performing as strong as the first day she tried it. She's happy, so I'm happy.

Best curling iron ever!! It’s so easy to use my 12 year old can do her own hair with it! For hair that curls won’t hold all day this curling iron does the trick! Curls will stay in all day! If hair gets tangled the curling iron will beep and release the hair with no pain! Love not burning my fingers with this curling iron! MUST BUY! For long thick hair you can curl your hair pretty quick!! Worth the money for all hair types! It took me 30 minutes to do long thick hair where as a regular curling iron it would take a lot longer. Great product! Works with all length of hair!

I can never use a traditional curling iron. I just clumsy when I use it. This is great because it does the work for you! If you have thin hair that is wispy and prone to frizz, consider this. It's particularly good for Asian Indian hair that tends to frizz. I like the fact that I can choose the temperature, curl type, and also the direction of the curl! Here are some tips: before using, get to know your tool. Watch a few videos and see how people are using it. I used a heat protection spray and worked with small sections of the hair. I used it on hair that was clean and fully dry. Make sure you follow the guidelines. It does take some getting used to. But, once you get used to it, it's a fun tool to play around with!

I've researched and purchased quite a few curling tools over the years because my fine hair has always been difficult to curl and, more importantly, difficult to keep curled. My hair will take a curl initially, but retention has always been the challenge. Before using this tool, I watched a detailed YouTube tutorial by Milabu rather than relying solely on the Amazon product videos. Her instructions were realistic, easy to follow, and made a huge difference in helping me get the best results. This tool offers 3 curl settings and 5 heat settings. For my first use, I selected the 350°F temperature setting and the Defined Curl option. I also used the Alternate Direction setting rather than choosing a single curl direction. I honestly can't say enough good things about it. My hair is medium length, fine, and prone to frizz with some styling tools. I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth my hair looked after styling. The entire process took about 10 minutes, which I found very reasonable speed/length of time. In my experience, the tighter the curl, the longer it tends to hold throughout the day. I've only used the tool once so far, but I'm already excited to experiment with the other curl settings. Another big plus is that it didn't leave my hair with that overheated smell that some hot tools can cause. The heat felt effective without being excessive—I never saw any smoke or signs of overprocessing while styling. If you have fine hair that struggles to hold a curl, this tool is definitely worth considering. I'm extremely impressed with the results.

Pros: Heat guard protects from skin burns (my main reason for purchasing), multiple curl/heat/direction settings, long-lasting defined curls, shortens styling time, timer removes guess-work and prevents burning of hair, long cord, not as bulky or heavy as other brands, beeps and stops twirling hair if it snags so you can easily slide hair out without tangles, heat guard is removable if needed, great value for price, hair style comes out consistent every time, doesn’t leave creases/dents in hair, the alternating direction setting (alternates curling toward and away from face) can create a more natural finish, the right/left direction settings curl away from your face based on the corresponding side of your head (ex: the L direction curls the L side of your hair away from your face), and I haven’t experienced any heat damage to my hair. Cons: (1) The 3/4 in barrel is great for tight curls that maintain definition when brushed out but can only accommodate small sections of hair at a time. Long thick hair can take more time to style because of this but overall it has simplified and made my hair routine safer. I have thick wavy hair that falls just below my chest and can curl all of my hair in about 15 minutes on the tightest curl and moderately high heat setting. You may want to try the larger barrel if you have longer hair. (2) There is a learning curve with determining how to section your hair and hold the device. Be sure the side with the * symbol is always facing away from your head, use small sections of hair, and don’t start too close to roots if you have longer hair because it may not all fit in the barrel. The tutorial videos some reviewers uploaded here were really helpful. It only took me a few uses to consistently get it right. Note that there will be some steam in the heat guard. This is not smoke! It will only smoke if you set the heat too high. Comparison to other tools: I was looking for a safer way to curl my hair after burning my shoulder with a regular curling iron. I tried the Dyson Airwrap ID first but my curls wouldn’t hold more than 30 min (despite trying all the internet’s tips), the device still got very hot to the touch, my long hair wouldn’t catch well on the barrels, the hot air would make me sweaty as I got ready, and I had to keep dampening sections of hair as I go. I have not tried other auto curlers but considered the Chi and Tymo brands, which are popular but bulkier and didn’t seem like they’d protect against skin burns as effectively. The Tymo version does offer a slightly longer barrel option though if you have longer hair. Overall I’m really happy with this Conair version!

Works great, so easy to use for beginners

I feel certain this may work for most but did not work for me. I had so much difficulty trying to align the open slot with strands of hair and having to be sure to change setting from left to right. I tried and tried. My hair would get "locked" but fortunately it was released with a click. I liked the effects of a properly curled hair piece, but making it work with left and right proved too aggravating and unsuccessful for me.

I want to give this a 5 star review. It curls amazingly, the only downfall is, I have a lot of thick hair and you have to do small sections of your hair so it doesn't tangle so it is not a quick process for me. However, it is the perfect item for my 10 year old. I can allow her to curl her hair on her own without burning herself. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

It’s a great curler. I was really worrying about buying it in case it doesn’t work ( because of the reviews) but I thought in the worst scenario I will return it. But when I open the box, the adapter was included and the curler works perfectly. Just like I saw on the you tube reviews. Definitely recommend buying it.

I love using it so easy to use even my daughter can use it but bit pricey as I paid shipping but love the product one time purchase good quality

I’ve had a good experience with this automatic hair curler. It’s easy to use, heats up quickly, and makes curling my hair much faster than using a traditional curling iron. The curls come out nice and consistent with very little effort. It took me a couple of tries to get used to it, but once I did, it was simple to use. Overall, it’s a convenient styling tool and a good option for anyone looking to save time while curling their hair. But it does get hot that’s the only thing I don’t like. We can’t have Dyson benefits with this one . If you are someone who don’t use curler every day than I will definitely recommend it.
