Fine Product
This chuck is another fine product from Vevor. I purchased it to replace my older 6" 3 jaw chuck because I only had one set of jaws and was limited to holding my work pieces. The accuracy with the Vevor Chuck is good, and it is well built. This is probably the fourth chuck that I have purchased from Vevor, and all performed as expected.

Polisher’s thoughts.
Used this to make a wheel polishing stand. Going to have to modify the chuck key to make it work for my application. All and all seems to be good for the price.

Less Than .001" of Runout
I am shocked how precise this chuck is. Once I mounted it on a LO backing plate, I am getting consistently less that .001" of runout, which is remarkable. I fully disassembled, cleaned, and lubed the chuck. The internal components appear to be well-machined and have very close tolerances. The only two jabs I could throw at it is that the back cover plate is made of plastic instead of steel and it applies friction to retain the scroll. You can't tighten it down fully because it will bind the scroll, so you have to leave the screws a little loose. I see this potentially wearing/loosening over time. Second is that the jaws are not numbered on the chuck itself. They are numbered on the "ways" of the jaws, but you have to completely remove the jaws in order to see the numbers. I purchased a CME 8" LO backing plate on Amazon and to my amazement it was a perfect fit for this chuck.

Came with burrs everywhere, and full of grinder dust.
Idk what I expected for the price, but they did a bad job of finishing this chuck. It required a full disassembly and deburring and clean out of the box to run properly. And even once that was done, it typically only held concentricity as well as 5 thou most of the time. Other than that it functioned completely fine as a chuck. For the price I don't know if I could have expected any better.

Rusty Gritty and Burrs
Chuck was rusted badly inside and where jaws slide in body. No lube except where they wiped it off, oiled it, and bagged it. Every machined surface has burrs leftover from machining. VERY tight to turn and gritty, would seize up when adjusting jaws. Even cleaning would not correct due to excessive rust. Would wear extremely fast and uneven. Will return. Jaw height is also different from jaw to jaw.

It’s worth the cost. I would buy again.
Very solid chuck. Used for one week straight now. Spins true.
