Leak from rear differential
I own a BMW 430d and recently noticed oil collecting underneath the vehicle. After checking it over, I found it was seeping from the rear differential. My initial thought was that the drive shaft seals were likely worn and would need replacing, so I took it for a proper inspection. Before going ahead with what could have been an expensive repair, my mechanic suggested trying a seal-conditioning additive first. I decided to give it a chance, and the improvement wasn’t immediate, but over time I started to see a real difference. The leak slowly reduced and eventually stopped altogether. I’ve since checked the oil level again and it hasn’t dropped at all. From what I understand, it works by helping to restore and swell ageing rubber seals, improving their ability to hold oil. In my case, it seems to have done exactly that. What could have turned into a costly diff repair has ended up being resolved for a fraction of the price. The underside of the car is now dry and everything is working as it should. Overall, I’m genuinely impressed — it worked far better than I expected.

Stopped severe diff oil leak, amazing stuff.
I don't review often, but this deserves one! I had a significant leak in a front diff, possibly caused by water contaminated oil after having played in some deep floods in my 4x4 a few months previously. The leak was severe, literally puddles of oil overnight or even just parking for an hour or two. The leak was coming from the pinion shaft seal. To replace the seal involves removing the diff from the car, in my case (Grand Vitara 115k miles), the entire front suspension subframe assembly needs to be removed in order to extricate the diff; a huge job, not a job I could comfortably complete myself at home despite being very experienced in car mechanics. Even replacing the seal itself is fairly involved. I would imagine I'd be looking at a bill in excess of £500 at an independent garage, main dealer 1K plus. Anyway, I drained the old contaminated oil, refilled, ran it for a few miles, drained again, then refilled including a tube of the Liqui Moly. Results were slow but over the course of 4 weeks the leak began to lessen and ultimately stop completely. I've topped up the oil once in that time and bought another tube of the Liqui Moly as I could see that it was working and I wanted to give it another dose. However, I removed the fill plug again tonight to squirt in another tube (for good measure) but the level this time was exactly the same, it's lost nothing since the last top up (approx 2 weeks ago). No more leak, at all. This is incredible stuff. Any bad review for this is probably unfair and for an unrelated issue, this is designed to regenerate the condition of rubber oil seals. It has done exactly that. A lot of money saved, thank you Liqui Moly!

It works
Does wot it says. Protects metal surfaces, even packs out wear and tear on older engines. I always use tbis for engines and gearboxes. It works for me.

I bought it for my Xterra which had a minor leak, garage quoted me 1000aed for labor only the leakage was around 1 liter per month. After using this product the the gauge showed no leaks. The import thing to note is that it takes around 15 days to stop the leakage.
