The Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Generation USB Interface has been outstanding. The sound quality is noticeably clear, warm, and clean, and the preamps are excellent for vocals and instruments. I specifically chose this version because I’m using a RODE dynamic microphone, and I needed an interface with clean preamp gain and proper XLR support without introducing noise or requiring extra hardware. The Scarlett handles that perfectly and provides the power and clarity the Rode needs to sound its best. The setup was super simple (literally plug and play) and it connected immediately with zero complications. The build quality feels solid and professional, and the controls are intuitive and easy to dial in. Latency is virtually nonexistent, the headphone amp is strong and clean, and the gain LED indicators make it easy to monitor levels without clipping. It’s compact enough for a desk setup but still feels premium. If you’re looking for a small, reliable interface that delivers professional-grade audio for podcasting, voice recording, instruments, or content creation, this is a fantastic choice. Worth every dollar. Highly recommend.

Honestly, I’m a 8 year experienced studio engineer, and I think you should just buy it, this is without a doubt THE BEST and ONLY Audio interface you should use if you’re thinking about getting serious in the near future, I mean cmon, NO LATENCY, BUILT IN MONITORING, INSTRUMENT IMPUT, THE AIR FEATURE (CHEFS KISS) just buy it man. You’ll thank me later.

Works pretty good

I selected the Scarlett Solo because, from what I first read, it seemed to be an excellent match for my Shure SM58 and it had an impressive count of ratings in Amazon. So I got the Scarlett Solo, plugged it in and followed instructions to install the control application and drivers. After the installation I noticed the volume was so low that I could barely hear my voice. I know that this mic is "very quiet" and found that apparently the Scarlett, with the Focusrite drivers, is not good enough to do any recording in Windows, at least not with the SM58. Testing in Windows using the Device Properties confirmed that Windows could not get enough volume from the Scarlett. So, this was not a problem in the DAW. It could be just a problem with my microphone. However, I uninstalled all the Focusrite software and let Windows to use its default drivers. As a result of that the volume increased notably, and now I am able to do a recording setting the gain a 75% and volume to 90 in the Device Properties in Windows. I initially gave it a low rating of 2 stars because the Focusrite drivers seem to be at fault, and reading through the internet again I found that to be a known problem. Although the Solo is partially usable without the Focusrite Control/drivers, you really need the oficial drivers to properly do multitrack recording. I needed to buy a FetHead for this combination to work. So Scarlett Solo and Shure SM58 don't seem to be a good match in Windows 10. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update. I returned the Solo/FetHead and purchased the 2i2, which works well with my mic. The input is not as high as with the Solo/FetHead combination, but it works well enough and it is actually less expensive. I don't really need two inputs, but I love the 2i2; I have the impression that the quality of the sound with the 2i2 is better than what I was getting with the Solo/FetHead combination, although that is a bit subjective. For that reason I modified my rating from 2 to 4 stars.

This item is everything it says it is!!!!! I have already started making PROFESSIONAL SOUNDING MUSIC using this HUB and its now my favorite thing to use while making music......im going to upgrade in the future and get the APOLLO TWIN X but for now THIS IS PLENTY PROFESSIONAL POWER AND SOUND FOR THE MONEY!!!! my favorite feature so far is the AIR FEATURE which brings your voice more to the front and makes you sound really professional. I also love the fact that it it has HALO LIGHTS cause thats the only way I know how to MEASURE SOUND. Don't get me started on the volume. THIS HUB CAN GET SERIOUSLY LOUD so ensure that you are listening or mixing at a SAFE LEVEL FOR YOUR EARS. Last but not least the BUILD. I love the quality of it the way it feels when you take it out the box. To me it feels KINDA PREMIUM the only issue I didnt like is that the box comes with a USB A TO TYPE C cord. I think they should of given us a TYPE C TO TYPE C but thats a small gripe. Other then that if you invest in this HUB your going to love it. Just so you know this HUB also comes with PRO TOOLS AND FL STUDIO PRE INSTALLED all you have to do is finish setting up whichever of those DAW'S YOU WANT TO USE and it can also run ALBLETON. so with all that being said. ENJOY YOUR NEW ITEM.

The Best!

Pretty simple to set up, works well with the SM7B I just got with it. It took me a minute to understand even with the software though admittedly. I ended up figuring it out though. Seems to power the SM7B pretty well without maxing out any volume, I tested it on Streamlabs. Well put together package, does what it needs to do! No complaints yet but also haven't used it past set up because I work too much haha

Latency? Nonexistent. Great value, free Pro Tools Intro for life, no subscription. Not big, just perfect. Software is great and compatible with Windows. I'm very happy using it in my home studio.

録音はしていません。ヘッドフォンアウトだけの話ですが、思っていた以上に良いです。 オーディオインターフェースは他にSteinbergのCl1、URX22C等を試しましたが、Scarlettが一番クリアに感じます。 URX22Cの方が若干空間の奥行は感じやすいような気もしましたが、もう手放しているので試せない＆印象としてこちらの方がクリアさみたいなものは感じていました。 しっかりクリアでノイズは一切なく、余計な色付けや主張もしていないように感じます。 これを買ってから、「もっと良い音を」と思ってFiioのk13R2R（5万円）を購入しましたが、違いこそあれど「あれ？Scarlettの方がいいんじゃ…」って事がちょいちょいあります。 DT990PRO(250Ω)、K240Mk2、T3-01、MDR-MV1を使って、k13R2R側の設定をGAINを変えてみたり、OSモードとNOSモードを切り替えてみたり色々やってみましたが、自分の好みとしては正直Scarlettの方が気持ちいいシーンが多かったです。 ■k13R2Rの個人的感想（ScarlettSolo4thと比較した場合） ・左右の空間の広がりが微増 ・どのヘッドホンを使っても、高域の解像度と音量が微増 ・20hz～40hzくらいの超低域に微妙な、若干の広がり感 どれもプラシーボか？？ってくらいの差ですが、明確にその微妙な差を感じます。 その上で、ScarlettSoloの方が大体何を聴いても聴きやすいというか、耳心地が良い気がします。 超低域をしっかり含むバスドラムの、タイト目に鼓膜の振動を感じるキレなんかが、Scarlettは気持ちいい。 k13R2Rでもそれは感じるけど、Scarlettの方が良くも悪くもその超低域が左右に揺れずど真ん中に居て感じやすいのかも。かつ、超高域も私の耳には適度で、分離感や粒感、明瞭さや定位の良さみたいなものは維持しつつも、ドライになりすぎず、音楽的でノリが良い感じがします。（主にMV1が好きで使っています） 結局自分の耳や好みとの相性だと思いますが、とりあえずめちゃくちゃ良い物だと思います。 DT990PROは250Ωですが、私の耳で感じる範囲では十分鳴らせてます。 性能を100%活かせているかはわかりませんが。もっとインピーダンスの高いヘッドホンを鳴らしたい方はヘッドホンアンプを買った方が良いかもしれません。
