Fantastic! Just what we needed.
After many long weeks of research, we decided on this Panasonic Unit. It was sold out many weeks in a row from Amazon and Direct from Panasonic. We can see why. It's simply a wonderful compact CD player. It looks sleek and nice, perfect size, easy to operate, has a very good and compact and cute remote control with nice large buttons and is legible, and above all, it just works great and sounds wonderful. Every CD we put in, whether made in USA or overseas, just works and loads fast. Very clear sound, really good bass and low end and good trebles, and all genres of music sound fantastic on it. Enjoying all our old CDs very much. Bluetooth works seamlessly and has very good volume. LCD panel very clear. And a huge bonus...it has a front headphone jack!!! That is an absolute must. We've seen many CD players now that don't have it and can't understand why wouldn't manufacturers include one? For listening when we don't want to disturb anyone during the day or at night, it's a standard must and we are very happy to see Panasonic included a headphone jack on this unit. It works great and is very clear. My only wish is that Panasonic had other color / finish options besides just pure Black. Like a warm cherry wood or white would have been really nice to fit different decors. But, all in all, fantastic unit. Very Happy with the unit.

Excellent buy!!
Highly recommend if you are looking for a smaller, versatile stereo system that has a radio, plays CDs and is Bluetooth compatible, this is the one for you. It took awhile to find a smaller stereo system that was not a boom box and didn’t cost a fortune. While this unit is a little pricier than I wanted to spend, it is well worth it! Easy to set up, easy to operate, really good sound for the size, gets a lot of radio stations. I have ordered and sent back a cheaper Philips version because the CD didn’t work and radio didn’t get many stations. This unit is well worth the extra $$.

Pretty decent sound, nice features
The CD drive on my Sony shelf system I'd had for years died. I tried cheaping out with a Sarp all-in-one unit but the sound was thin and lacked depth so I got this instead. While the Sony speakers may have been a little better, this unit has pretty decent sound, a nice, compact remote and even has a "surround" setting amongst the sound controls. I have this in my bedroom and use it exclusively for a rain sound CD while going to sleep. The Sharp unit just didn't sound good for that but this Phillips does a good job, especially with the surround enhancement. I tested a couple of music CDs and they sounded pretty good, too. The size of the main unit is fairly compact, smaller if somewhat taller than the Sony it replaced. One nice feature (which the Sharp also had) is that the unit goes to sleep after a period of inactivity; the Sony was always on, for years and years. Another nice feature is auto scan and assign presets on the radio. One con - the USB slot is located on the rear of the unit, which could be inconvenient for some users.

A good compact, bright, basic, CD system
It is a good little basic system. If you have limited space, it is quite small. Bluetooth works well and gave no problems pairing. The tiny speakers are a bit bright, but that's to be expected from small speakers without a big woofer. The biggest issue I had with the system is it's rather arcane and convoluted control system and it's odd names for the sound modes. I still am not sure exactly what they mean by them. But if you want a nice sounding CD player/system, have limited space, and don't need a lot of bass; this just might be for you.

Excellent sound for the price!
This compact system gives a powerful sound for its size. I was very pleasantly surprised. Compact size and CD player were a must for me, setting up Bluetooth was very easy and it has an FM radio. What more could you want? The only criticism I have is that the speaker wires are too short. I had to splice a longer wire onto one of them in order to set them properly in the room.

Good sound for a low price, very simple to use.
This is not going to shake the windows and get the cops to your house/apartment. What it does do well is good clean sound for a small bedroom, office or kid's/teens room. It's a Panasonic, so it's refined quality product from a respected Japanese company. Out of box it's easy to setup. Basically, plug it in and play. The pros: good clean sound, easy to operate and unlike others units, if you lose the remote, it still has full controls on the front including a BIG volume knob. Display is not overly bright either. If you are an FM radio listener, you will appreciate the typical high sensitivity/selective FM tuner Panasonic is known for. Even with the included wire antenna, I pull in distant stations and it's a standard connector so you can connect outdoor antennas if you're using it in a remote area. The Bluetooth audio is also superb. CD player: it plays CDs and CD-Rs/RWs just fine. Now the only downside is there is NO analog input of any kind: no AUX in, no phono- nothing nor is there a headphone jack. No digital in or out (optical or coaxial). The only way to listen to it is via the included speakers. If you want those features, gonna have to pony up for it's bigger brother which also has more power output and better speakers. That being said, for the price it does what it does very well and if you want a quality Panasonic product for about what it costs to go to the grocery store for 1 person, here's your stereo. Reminds me of the compact stereos of the late 80s that were sold at discount stores. This would be the low end model but again, it sounds decent and gives most people the sources they want: Bluetooth audio, CD and FM stereo radio. Everything is included in the package but you'll need a single AA battery to use the remote. The manual is sparse but easy to follow. Overall, a good basic low cost modern compact stereo from a reputable manufacturer.

Perfect Shelf Set Up for the Discerning Shopper
Perfect for the money! I live in an apartment and wanted something for my bookshelf that was better looking and certainly better sounding than a boombox, but more price conscious and less involved than an AV set up. This hits the sweetspot of sound quality, build quality, and functionlity very nicely. The speakers sound robust - no tinny tweeters - and have nice little feet on the base so they stay put if you bump them accidently. Additionally, their output is tremendous! You can really dial in between volumes needed for soundtrack and metal. The volume knob has a very satisfying resistance to it, it doesn't feel cheap and flimsy, so delightful --- if you even get close enough to it to use the knob because it comes with a very nice remote. The remote also has built in feet and I just really appreciate the feel of it in the hand and the presence of of it - you wont misplace or drop it accidently. Does not come with batteries, which is fine, but be aware. The bluetooth function is easy to use and a delight to have. The drive is only good for a single cd at a time, but for the money and the tech age, expecting more from a shelf set up is where the buyer should be looking into AV/Surround products like Onkyo, Yokohama, etc. Im so enamored with it in the bedroom that I may lose my mind and buy one for the living room for the vine alone. If you're back and forthing over a different model, go with this one - the brand name recognition is what drove me but quality is what convinced me. Its a superb little set up for a small space. Cons? Maybe the power cord is a little short? But that's really neither here nor there.

Never knew it could be like this!
Just replaced my 13 year old Bose sound system, with this Panasonic system and WOW! I stopped playing CD"s a year ago (which I prefer over any other way of listening to music) because the sound was so muddy and dull on my old Bose. Assembling this system was a breeze. Got it hooked up , put on Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Relax" to test out the power on this thing and BAM! I adjusted the bass slightly below the treble to enhance the clarity, detail and nuance in the music and the bass just slightly below for that depth and richness.... and it was just so beautiful! Felt like I was back in the clubs, from back in the day....just an immersive , crystal clear, enjoyable, listening experience! I highly recommend this system to anyone who wants to stream, play CD's or even pick up some radio stations! The quality is amazing!
