I bought the Thermalright TR‑M.2 2280 Type A G heatsink for my NVMe drive, and it’s been fantastic. Installation was really straightforward — the thermal pads are easy to apply, and everything fits snugly on a standard 2280 SSD. The cooling performance is excellent. My drive was hitting high temps during gaming and large file transfers, but with this heatsink installed, it now stays much cooler and doesn’t throttle at all. The design looks premium too — clean, compact, and fits nicely under a GPU without any clearance issues. If your NVMe SSD runs warm or you just want to improve stability and longevity, this is a great little upgrade. Really happy with it!

This cooler is an absolute bargain, high quality, easy to fit, contains no unnecessary "bling" which can just result in making it hard to fit or squeeze in and just works. My nvme drive idle temperatures reduced by nearly 10C after fitting and this was in a passive small unventilated case. With some moving air I could completely believe it would perform even better than this since it is quite weighty and has decent thermal mass for its dimensions and fins for increased surface area. I would highly recommend this cooler. Do not let its low price fool you it is high quality.

...but it could go a little bit cooler. You know how any heat sink feels cold to the touch at room temp? Well this one doesn't. My motherboard's built-in simple heatsink does a bit better job, keeps my other similar nvme 4-5 degrees below. That being said, fort the price it's awesome, easy to install, it works, and even it's lower performance than my other heatsink, it still keeps it right around proper operating levels.

If you’re wondering if this will fit in your PS5 slim; it will as it fit in mine. I brought a M2 card without a heat sink and hoped this heating would fit and work. It did. Also, the heat sink came with thermal paste pad. Excellent stuff. I didn’t have to miss any screws etc it all just fitted.

Does reduce temps, great value and build quality.

Installation was easy, 5 mins, on average dropped the temperature of my Samsung 970 EVO by 20 degrees c Great bit i kit for the price top quality

Before fitting the heat sink my temperature under heavy load was around 65c.. with this fitted it hit 90c and locked up my system! It's literally a solid chunk of aluminium over 5mm thick with a few shallow fins on top.. it's cheap and definitely not worth even as much as it sells for! AVOID!
