Review: First time buyer (what to expect) - This was my first time buying teff. The taste to me is very neutral which can be a good thing because you can flavor it to your own liking. To me I didn't get much of a nutty flavor that others reported. I usually add in a scoop or two to my morning oats/quinoa fruit bowl mix. The texture of teff by itself is very unique if I had to think of something I would say imagine grits or polenta but a bit more earthy. If you're vegan or vegetarian this seems to be a great way to get more protein into your diet. I could also see this being good in soups and veggie burgers. However it is not quite as easy as with other larger grains. **Q: What is the best method for long term storage of an open bag? I might go with Teff 25 lbs. bag on their site and portion it out.** A: I'm not 100% sure but am quite certain it can be stored in a cool, dry place like flour for up to 1+ years and/or in the freezer.
