Review: Great college backpack - I've had a North Face backpack for years (5 years total), and decided to upgrade. Great back support and very sturdy. This backpack has a small organizational compartment and a large main compartment with a laptop sleeve. The main compartment has a ton of space. The padding on this backpack is so much more substantial than my North Face Borealis from 2013! I also love that the strapping and zippers are the perfect light pink.

**Q: Does the backpack sit up right or does it fall over when placed on the floor?**
A: It is intended to stand by itself, if you pack it correctly that is. Be sure to load any bottles in the side pockets first, then load the heaviest items toward the bottom and against the back. Pack light items toward the front and top.

**Q: Can this be attached to the handles of my rolling luggage?**
A: There is no sleeve on the back that will slip over your rolling luggage handle, but it still can be done. If you pull the shoulder harness straps as tight as they will go, and connect the sternum strap, you can slide it over the handle and it should stay on top of your suitcase well.

**Q: Is the backpack waterproof and would a 15.6-16inch laptop fit? Also does a slim hydro flask water bottle fit on the sides??**
A: hi there, 

the backpack itself can hold that big of a laptop, but the sleeve is smaller at 12.75x11. Usually all TNF packs are pretty weather resistant so should be good for the rain. It also has two side pockets where you would definitely be able to fit a hydro flask in there.

**Q: Is the jester 22l or 27l?. i am finding conflicting info. or are there different versions of the jester (ie classic, luxe).**
A: The current version of the Women's Jester Backpack is 22L (Volume: 1343 in³ or 22 liters). The overall dimensions of the pack are 11" x 6.75" x 17.25" (27.9 cm x 17.1 cm x 43.8 cm), and the integrated laptop sleeve dimensions are 12.75" x 11" (32.4 cm x 27.9 cm). Use that information to determine if your specific device will fit how you like it. If your electronics do not fit in the laptop sleeve, it should fit in the main body of the pack. 
The unisex version of the Jester Backpack has a volume of 28L or 1709 in³, with overall dimensions of 11" x 8.25" x 18.13" (27.9 cm x 21 cm x 46.1 cm) and laptop sleeve dimensions of  12.75" x 11" (32.4 cm x 27.9 cm).

I've had a North Face backpack for years (5 years total), and decided to upgrade. Great back support and very sturdy. This backpack has a small organizational compartment and a large main compartment with a laptop sleeve. The main compartment has a ton of space. The padding on this backpack is so much more substantial than my North Face Borealis from 2013! I also love that the strapping and zippers are the perfect light pink.

This backpack has everything and need and nothing that I don't. It is very comfortable, has plenty of space for a laptop WITH a portable monitor (a thin one) in the laptop sleeve, plus probably 3-4 textbooks in the rest of the space and some other stuff crammed in there. The front pocket also has plenty of space. One thing I don't like about the pockets is that if they are partially unzipped, they will flop right over (especially if there's stuff in the front pocket), but that hasn't been that big of a deal to work with. The drink pockets are fantastic; I never struggle with them.
