I’ve used 3 brands of these over about 10 years’ time. I like this one because the design has a ring that’s set farther out than the suction cups, pulling it harder against the bathtub wall. I’ve only used it once. Rinsed out fine, but it’s the kind of silicon that might get sticky over time. I’ll update if I have issues with that or the suction cups turning inside out over time (which was a problem with both the other brands I used).

It's so stinking cute! It sticks on well and I haven't had an issue with it staying on. It fit around my bath drain well, and would have fit better if my tub didn't have a stupid logo randomly RIGHT there. It was easy to remove after a bath and left no marks or anything like that. It was super easy to use and install. It's made of a silicone or silicon like product and is pretty flexible. For the price of it and how cute it is, well worth the money.

This little octopus does actually work. I didn’t think it would. It doesn’t make a perfect seal all the way around because the suction cups are only on the little legs not in between so eventually the water does start draining but for the length of time it takes for me to have a bath it’s perfect. It helps to keep a nice deep amount of water. Plus it’s cute. It doesn’t always wanna stay suction cupped to the tub surround wall for storage, but that’s not a big deal for me. It does stay suction cupped in the water in the bathtub.

This works perfectly! I was worried about finding an overflow drain cover that was deep enough to accommodate my tub drain lever thing. I initially passed on this more than once until I saw a video review that showed it was a lot deeper than I thought. There's plenty of room for the lever, and the octopus body is squishy enough that I can use the lever with the cover still on. It is so cute, and it's blue, which is even better! The seal is perfect. There's a little bit of water at the bottom of the cover when I take it off, but nowhere near enough to hit the overflow drain. It pops on and off the tub easily, and all in all feels very solid. I wish I'd bought this thing years ago!

*I rarely, if ever, give out so few stars. Super disappointed.* Does not stick. Does not stick. Does not stick. I knew as soon as I saw this that it might be a problem - NOBODY has an over flow drain cover on their tub that is 4 inches thick. The rounded body part of this octopus is like a ramen soup bowl depth. Because it’s so deep, it floats way out in the water, and every movement of the water contributes to it coming off the wall of the tub - something not at all helped by suction cups that DO NOT STICK. The only time I was able to get this to stay stuck was when I placed it UNDER WATER on the side of the tub (which I did at night because I left water in the tub to humidify the house, but the faucet drips noisily and having this at the surface of the water cut down on that). Miraculously, it never moved all night. Stayed stuck to the wall. But on the side wall of the tub, below the level of the overflow. When covering the (relatively flat) overflow drain cover, at least 2-4 of the suction cups are out of the water (always 2, sometimes 4 if I don’t fill to the tub edge) and no matter how many times I wet them, or kept re-connecting them with my toes while bathing, the whole thing just fell off the wall within about 45 seconds. Nothing I do makes it work. Utterly worthless. Sad, since I paid for this AND picked it out of many others and left it in my “later” list until I was read to make a purchase of some items I needed. Guess it’s time to break out the packing tape and re-tape up my entire drain again like some barn dwelling animal. I really dislike wasting money. Honestly, if you’re going to make a product, at the VERY LEAST…. it should function.

It's nice. Sometimes stays where it needs to, other times it falls off. I have started to remove it after every bath since it doesn't want to stay in place once the water is gone. The seal is good when it is on and there is water. It's ok.

Works well to give you a few cm extra water depth in the bath. The suckers stay put for an hour or two. Although it's quite big and sticks out a fair way, the bath tap just clears it when filling the bath. I did have to remove the chain attaching bath plug to overflow first, but apart from that it's proving a very simple and effective solution.

Seit Jahren liege ich in der Wanne und überlege wie ich etwas bastele um den Überlauf auszutricksen. Und dann entdecke ich diesen Oktopus. Und siehe da, er funktioniert! Herrlich! Fast 10cm mehr Wassertiefe.
