For being such a simple thing it has a lot of power. We were really struggling to strip the varnish and stain off our stairs and I bought this on the recommendation provided with the stripper we bought. I didn't think it would work but I was so wrong...it's been a life saver for those tricky corners and round the stair nosing. It's stayed sharp for the landing and for 13 stairs.
